Yes, it’s an Olympian with Dublin specific Alexander bodywork.

The 65 was a favourite awayday from my youth. Fishing at the reservoir or beers in the village.

The Leyland bus is an Irish one. Is it an Olympian?

The 65 is a very scenic if slow route. Goes from the south of Dublin into the foothills of the Wicklow mountains. image.thumb.png.43817d02a42dc050c10e2f60790545da.png

i was wondering what happened to it after the irish bit cos it was manx reg

For years I used to get the very first 65 at the crack of dawn every Saturday and Sunday from outside the central bank to go training in Blessington. So many great memories. Rathgar, Rathmines, Terenure and the great Tallaghfornia with its horses and tracksuits.

Junkies reading us poetry, an aul' one pissing on the seat and leaving, only for some unsuspecting student to sit in it and racist bus drivers...

Great bus route

Turns out it was originally RH36, delivered in 1990 as 90-D-1036. After withdrawal in 2001 it was sold to Isle of Man Transport as their number 16. Loaned to Jurby museum around 2009.
