The Citroen 2CV has a tonne of weird nicknames all around the world. Obviously here in Britain we call it the Tin Snail but in France some people call it 'the big beast'. In The Netherlands they call it 'the ugly duck', the Finnish refer to it as the 'Rag Citroen' thanks to its soft top roof, the former Yugoslavians say its the oddity but my favourite has to be the nickname the Flemish gave it... 'the goat'.

I've heard in Germany they were known as Student Cars & Cockroaches in Sweden.

I find it incredible that anyone remembers that PIF.

As an aside, it is Mrs Blunder who comes up with the greatest meal suggestion of all time. I mean, who wouldn't look forward to coming home to a steaming plate of spaghetti and Brussels sprouts. No wonder they all drove like they wanted to die.

For those who care.

I implore you to watch to the end. The look on the face of the poor sod actor driving the Cortina says that this was Take 7. He really isn't looking forward to it.

I've been wondering for YEARS why 1100s were known as that in banger circles, thank you!

i always heard Ford Focus - Ford Clitoris (same reason|) lol

Reminds me of something I read in the Viz Profanisaurus:

Subarus (noun)
A pair of lady's undercrackers. So called because there's commonly a small, hairless cnut inside them.

No one says Scooby Doo, it’s just a Scooby ( or Subie if you’re American) and big exhausts are compulsory on WRX and STi models.
