55bloke
What's the story here? Looks like they were all taken at the same location? the Mk 2 'tina looks like it's fallen foul of someone with a baseball bat!
bigstraight6
Oh my Lords! a 6/110 hearse on Rostyles and a MK1 Granada Coupe (Is the hearse destined to stay on the road? I really hope so!)

mk2_craig
That VP is probably worth about a zillion Yen in J-land.

I think that is an original colour, 'Daytona yellow' I guess you must be right. I've heard of Daytona yellow (I've got a model Consul in it from Vanguards & a MkII Escort in it from Trofeu) but thought it was more lemony whereas that looks positively bananaish! Jason A
Now I'd love to go for my 'last ride' in the back of that 6/110 (though not just yet admittedly)The mk2 Tina looks as though it may end as an Historic Saloon Stock Car.Top spottings anyway as ever Daniel. 55bloke
Good stuff! Not sure I like the Rat Rod look- that's a '29 Model A on '32 rails, I think. Those unsilenced headers must sound fantastic, but surely can't be legal?!
Dead_E23
Those unsilenced headers must sound fantastic, but surely can't be legal?! That car was at this year's Croxley Green show. It's not as loud as you would think - istr that the chrome ends provided some sort of silencing effect.

I thought it looked more of a '32 body with a severe chop and the grill is a '32great pics by the way
55bloke
Not 100% sure I have to admit- grille is '32 as you say, but the Model A windscreen is a different shape to the Model B, as are the rear side windows- that looks like a chopped model A shell to me. bigstraight6
Very nice selection, the 'rat rod' looks amazing, and the Thames 400E bus and Allard got me drooling
michiel
That Allard is briliant, what the hell were they smoking/sniffing/drinking?
MrRegieRitmo
Now this is very cool - this epitomises what led me to desire a MkI Escort as my first car when I was a kid in the days when there were still plenty around & wanting one was not jumping on any bandwagon & they weren't hugely desirable. Needless to say 12 or 13 years later none of that was true any longer.
pogweasel
That Mk1 is nice, Reg. I regret not having a (decent) one when they were still reasonably priced. Turning down a Mk1 Mexico (real!) with a 2.1 and all the trimmings for £1500 in 1996 or 7 is one of my biggest regrets. I'd need to remortgage the house now to get something similar. The MK1 I did have was a lovely car to drive & to look at. But by christ was it a rotter underneath. Would have cost billions to put right as my skillz are NIL for that level of work. Still, it will live again I hope. Although I'm not keen on the suicide doors it sports nowadays. AnthonyG
Marinas are an interesting example of a car being supposedly very rare (700 left in the country etc, unfortunately 699 now) yet are worth precisely f@@k all.Similarly unloved cars in the 90s, such as Cortina 4/5s, Vivas, Avengers, Chevettes, Hunters, all have their following now, yet not Marinas - are they that bad to drive??
