There's an inordinate amount of these and Previas around here in this part of North Manchester.

The local Jewish population loves them and there's lots of V6 Petrol ones knocking about. I bet they're packed full of JDM oddites and toys which I love.

Father had a previa back in the day and it was full of oddball kit.

Very large number of Previas, JDM Estimas / Aeras, and other Previa variants down here in Little Jerusalem/Golders Green - one street here is noticeably stuffed with Previas. See also Stamford Hill, which is basically Mea Shearim, but in right-hand-drive.

They are absolutely beloved by Orthodox Jewish families, who keep them going in various states of disrepair.

Many if not most have dents in the bodywork, reflecting the oul joke that the difference between a Jewish mother (almost all of whom drive) and a terrorist is that you can negotiate with a terrorist.

what are these like in Dizzel spec??? couldn't bring myself to have a V6.......especially a JDM one, too many Yoof's making gang signs with 'popcorn' limiters!!!

Don’t think they did a dizzle version, certainly not in this E51 model only a 2.5 and 3.5 petrol. And they’re all JDM, they were never sold officially in the Uk.

In good news insurance was proving pricier than expected, I’d phoned round a few specialists and was struggling to get it under £450 (yes that’s not too bad but I’m a tight bastard). Enter Maggie from Adrian Flux, who had quoted me £550 from her panel. She called me back a couple of hours later to say she had been ringing round her Nissan specialist insurers and had got them down to £265! I’ll take that! She said she refused to be beaten!

No offence meant to any owner, either - but my wife and I had exactly the same conversation when we decided to have a fourth.  I said "Getting an MPV is the same as saying My life is now over - I surrender everything - I am now waiting to die.  Everything that I was, that I am no longer.

Anyone who considers buying an MPV should be read, repeatedly, Dylan Thomas.

Now let's not forget that some people don't have a TV so have nothing better to do on a night than procreate.

Once you have 4 or 5 sprogs, you have no choice.

Could be worse. Could be a Nissan Prairie. We had one in the 80s. Still makes me shudder. I wish we'd kept the "Polished Turd" coloured Bluebird.

You're talking to a man who watches about 30 minutes of TV a week - and has four children. Five if you include me, which my wife does.

Prairie's are cool AF.  My chum bought one about 8 years ago and drove it all the way down to Canne and back.  He absolutely loved it.

No, there's nothing special about a Prairie 😂 Especially when you're a teenager
"Look, I'm walking home. I'm not getting in that!"

Didn't help that my Mum had a Micra with rainbow bubbles down the side. On the flipside, I had a mate with a Hillman Avenger that made bags of noise, so I tended to go everywhere with him.

However, a story about our Prairie. My Uncle used to drive to Germany several times a week. He had a Golf which did 300k (I've talked about this before, I'm sure). After that, he bought a Renault Espace which he took to about 250k before it blew up in a pile of blue smoke.

Our Prairie by that point was about 13 years old and had done about 80k, so we gave my Uncle the car. Apparently, it didn't last long after that and died a heavy death.

Imagine that, being shown up by a Golf and a French car 😂
