After the issues on friday with my other collection thread I thought id wait till I actually had something productive.

Wednesday last week I saw an ad for a really weathered rover dealership so me and my father picked that up.

Anyway after Fridays issue with the 75 I started looking again.

I found something on sunday afternoon so phoned the person up and went to weston super mare and bought something (hurray)

It has rust but its solid and you cannot put your hand through it.

It needs a few bits but pictures from the ad first.

it's a 1997 rover 620ti.

it's done 103000 miles and it drove home lovely. I have to wait now till the start of july to tax it.

The work that needs doing.

Headlining is slightly loose.

The clock-radio display needs sorting.

Needs a coolant temperature sensor.

I got given 5 vitesse alloys aswell in the deal.

Really happy with it.

Superb.  I really enjoyed the 620ti I had - proper sleeper and huge fun pissing off modern German stuff.  I often wish I hadn't sold it.

Thankyou I've had 2 600s before the first a ti then an si. It's a really unassuming car so people dont know what's under the bonnet.

Nice buy, I enjoyed the one that I had, underated, and rapid cars.

Thankyou I never set out to get another 600 but when I saw this on car and classic I had to have a look.

Very nice, hard to find now too.

Thankyou being honest when I look on ebay it's very rare I looked for a 600 turbo simply because they didnt show up very much.

I never really used car and classic before but tried it with the failed 75 and also this. I just kept looking at the usual facebook ebay gumtree and sometimes autotrader.

oooooh lovely. I had a 632GSi a few years ago but would love a Ti

Thankyou my dad took a 623 gsi just before he bought his vitesse. I've always liked the 600 since I was a nipper as a neighbour had one in white. Quite a low spec one as it had wheel trims.

Very under-rated, but look out for the rust at the rear arches, the window regulators made of cheese and, on the ti, a pretty weak transmission.

Thankyou I appreciate your comment.

I have owned a 2 600s before one being a ti and we had issues with the window regulators and upon taking them out found them to be flimsy.

Rust this car has but it is still solid so once I can I will get a garage to cut out and put new metal in(its not so bad at the moment)

Gearbox wise this one has no whine which I am happy about and having had a vitesse box blow on me and having a nightmare finding one with the right ratios and type b lsd. I'll be keeping an eye on this one and maybe as a precaution in the future rebuild with steel caged bearings.

Many thanks Thomas
