Mrs Spart
So for those that would like to follow @spartacusold BMW. As you know @spartacussigned over all his vehicles to me, voluntarily. The Fiat Panda @spartacus specifically wanted Roffled off for a good cause and lucky @wesacosadrove this car back home last week with photos also taken of the Hospital Ward gift donations from @spartacus I specifically asked @spartacuswhat did he want doing with his other vehicles and "I" suggested that his Yellow Punto be gifted to his ex wife's son or his daughter... @spartacusreply was "I don't want this trashed" (so no basically). Anyway, I then had this car up for sale or roffle, in order to use this money towards his BMW repair (plus being sold through Autoshite I hoped it would go to a good home, that appreciated the colour yellow😉👍🏽)... However... 😒... His ex wife (ex wife as in divorced for 5 years and separated prior for 2 years and to stress I met @spartacusAFTER he was separated, so I literally had nothing to do with his marriage failure) was not happy I had all of @spartacusvehicles... Despite his 2 girls inheriting all his bank account monies and property (I was offered a share of this financial inheritance but I declined). Anyway, she's now wanting the Fiat Punto back and @spartacusparents have asked for the Yellow Punto for his daughters (they're twin 13 year olds btw!)... So, I have gifted the Yellow Punto to @spartacusDad and if his Dad wants to go against @spartacusfinal wishes, that's his choice. So, I do apologise for removing the Yellow Punto thread but I don't want any hassle from his family(!) I've also gifted @spartacusSEAT Leon and CamperVan to his parents, again I don't want any grief from them... Despite @spartacussigning the vehicles over to me voluntarily, despite "me" not actually inheriting anything financially nor making any monies financially from his vehicles (it's all somewhat sad really!). So... I still have @spartacusbeloved BMW and I'm adamant I'm going to get this fixed, thank you all to those thank chipped in on the collection, this money I hope you don't mind will go towards his BMW. Mally
I don't mince my words as well you know, and I'd advise caution before starting something without doing an in depth survey of whats required, and the cost in cash, time, and effort for all concerned. I get what you are doing, but I'd give it 6 months thinking. Mrs Spart and cobblers 1
Mrs Spart
@Mally I know and honestly I'm dreading the cost for this being made road worthy... Obviously if it does cost too much (not bothered about time, they can take as long as they want on the car) then I'll have to re think whether its really worth it (as you know, it's literally just me here... Paying a mortgage, bills, looking after 50 animals and trying to fix whatever needs fixing around the SmallHolding... This doesn't even include me going out to work to pay for all this 😣). So yes will definitely think carefully once they've given me a price.🤞🏽😬🤞🏽 Thank you again @Mallyfor working your magic on the MG, cannot put in words how happy I am that it's going again 👍🏽😊👍🏽 wesacosa and eddyramrod
wesacosa
I guess its all going to hinge around the welding. If you can get a good idea on cost of that before you give the OK to go then it will give you some idea on the variability of taking it on Mrs Spart

Mrs Spart
Help! Can anyone (or know of anyone) who can help with some welding??? @spartacus old BMW is very slowly being made road legal again. However the mechanics are finding it really difficult to find a reasonably priced welder who can finish off the last bit of Giles' car. The car is based in Chesterfield. 🤞🏽🤞🏽 Please see videos from June 14th 2021.
Mrs Spart
Been a little quiet on this thread... Behind the scenes I've been trying to find a welder... And... It looks like I may have FINALLY found one to do the job 🎉🎊🥳 End of this month, a trailer is going to take @spartacus BMW to a specialist welder 🤞🏽 and I'm hoping it'll then be ready (this year 🤞🏽😬🤞🏽) to take to some classic car shows. Plan is there will be a information board with @spartacusBMW (about Giles, with a nod to autoshite & also some info on lymphoma ie Giles' diagnosis). sdkrc, eddyramrod, wuvvum and 17 others
