The '52 and the '03 sere both the same. Replaced in both cars. They were not like yours but I have seen similar ones used in different Citroens. myglaren
Those who have done this have found that it is better to solder in an extra few inches of wire to improve flexibility and reduce strain on the loom. Same for the doors. maxxo

myglaren
Not quite. My son parked it outside his house on a steep slope. The handbrake wasn't pulled on tight enough and it was in neutral. Ten minutes later it rolled back into the house. Fortunately just missed the huge sitting room window - size of a shop window. richardmorris and maxxo

maxxo
popped down to northallerton today in the C5 was beautiful, really is driving superb at the moment anyway, had to do a fair few overtakes and a few moments of heavy throttle gearbox is spot on, 1 shift was a bit notchy but otherwise all silky smooth also since a simple oil and filter change the engine seems so much more quieter and if anything my displayed MPG seems a lot better averaging according to the car around 42mpg, this is around right according to my calculations so i'm happy myglaren and crad

maxxo
I have just done a purchase of a random apparently refurbished starter motor off ebay it was cheap, as in £30 cheap so lets see if it sets my car on fire or causes an electrical meltdown, locks me in and catches fire which would be extremely entertaining

maxxo
did some fettling today replacing the starter motor forgot to take a lot of pics cos idiot anyway, simple as fuck to get to, remove intercooler pipe and air box and it's right in front of you 3 allen key bots, cos of course and there we go, lifts right out for reference, this is a picture of the new one from last night it's shiny and here is the old one, after i removed it not shiny felt alright though anyway installed the new one, and again forgot to take pics cos it was going too well and didn't want to jinx it you can see it here, the shiny metal this was an increadibly easy job put all the pipework and everything back hooked the battery back up, waited the minute or so for the car to boot up wow cranks like a petrol! mega fast, and quieter too shall made a video in a bit so time for an autopsy looked alright inside, gears worked and bearings felt smooth but i found the issue i believe yeahhhh, not much left on them! myglaren
Had the same thing with my starter, new one fixed it and like yours now, started on the button. Removing the bumper is easy but time consuming. And as said, you don't need to remove it completely. Very unlikely to find any rust, mine was like new.
