Got the cop job, and 3completed the psychometric for Public Trust.  Scored very highly apparently (highest verbal reasoning result ever seen) but if the other candidate Is the bosses daughter it all comes to naught.

I say I have the cop job but I now need to undergo a medical, and alcohol and drug test.  Need references, police check and credit check but they are all clear so no worries there.  Now is the time when I find out if Crohns prevents me from answering the telephone.

First task will be to secure mortgage and buy a house.  Second task is to buy a better car.  Whilst rare, Alfa’s are pretty cheap here compared to the Japanese competition so might go in that direction.  After all how tricky can it be to get parts for rare temperamental cars in this small city?

Told the financial adviser that I wouldn’t be joining.  Expected her to go mental but she was really good about it.  Seems she might have offered me a role without squaring it with the main man and there was a possibility he may say no.  So it saved her a problem too.

Now I shall continue my “Monkey” marathon.  It’s nice to re evaluate this series considering I last saw it when I was 8.  In summary Monkey is annoying, Pigsy is lazy but can fight a bit, Sandy is totally unnecessary.  Tripitaka is surprisingly wise for a small girl masquerading as a boy and has many life lessons to be absorbed.  Most importantly I now have some wicked ideas for my next fancy dress party.  Making a cloud might be a job

Making a cloud shouldn't be too difficult, flying it is another matter. (There's going to be lots of people going WTF?)

IIRC Tripitaka was the common sense element in the gang.

I suppose some sort of skateboard and some cotton wool might work.  I probably shouldn’t spend too much time on this one though!

”oooh, what are you sketching now?  Is it the redesign of the garden or the new kitchen?”

”Nope, working out how to make Monkeys cloud with a skateboard”

”I want a divorce”

Fuxake.  Cops now need me to do another series of psychometric and personality tests.  The same ones I had to do for someone else earlier this week.  No rush but if I could complete by the end of the 29th May that would be handy.  Yes, today.

One of the tests is a matching test where they show you an image and you pick the corresponding one from a choice of six.  Easy enough if it is shapes or photos but instead they use bar codes.  Yes, here are six supermarket bar codes, which is the same as the one at the top?

They are all the same.  The difference will be the 12 or 14 digit alpha numerical reference number at the bottom of the bar code which you have to match to the master image.  Sounds ok but did I mention you have nine seconds to do this?  And repeat it 25 times?  Migraine inducing stuff.

The rest of the stuff is ok.  Things like “I like abusing my co-workers and disobeying orders”. Do you agree, disagree, or are you neutral about this?

Theres a typing test but thta shoudl be ok as I am queit accuraet at tipi g

OOOH, almost.  It’s pronounced cruckut.  I really ought to try and get more into it.

Another interview today for the Covid 19 rollout.  If it goes well it looks like I might end up doing six days cleaning all the scum off the streets and the next four vaccinating them.  If any twat wants to have a go about bloody immigrants not contributing to NZ they can fuck right off

  • hairnet changed the title to Oh ffs what did you do now..........honda ct110 postie bike - familiar quote time

The Antipodes have reclaimed their Postie Bike and have ordered the ship to bring it back I think.  Unless the dock workers in Brisbane heard about how good it was and fancied a go?
