Wilko220
I've been a bit slow in picking up on this, but I don't think it's been mentioned here before, so will give it a share anyways. https://www.hulldailymail.co.uk/news/hull-east-yorkshire-news/humber-car-collection-allan-marshall-4379039 A rather story about the world's biggest collection of Humbers having been removed and put up for sale. colino, Vantman, holbeck and 7 others 1 2
mk2_craig
I’d never ever heard of the place. A somewhat niche appeal I fear - shame to see the collection dispersed but perhaps inevitable if there wasn’t much in the way of revenue coming in? sutty2006
I was in Hull a few years ago (on holiday believe it or not) but never heard of the place. I’d have loved to have gone and visited. Now the cars are closer to me, but a shame they’re in storage and not on display.
wesacosa
We hired one of those for our 6th Form prom in late 90s. It had the manual wipers which I had to operate as it was raining and I sat up front. I didn't know there was a museum/display despite living in Hull 18 years until I read that article about it closing:(
Dan_ZTT
I remember reading about it when it was first up for sale a couple of years ago, I think it was in Practical Classics Shame it couldn't be saved, some lovely stuff there RayMK
DSdriver
Is there any connection with the Humber cars and the fact that Hull is on the River Humber?

morrisoxide
My Dad told me about this place in 2018 so we went. It was closed, we didn't know it was closed for good. I did snap this sad picture. I wonder what else was dumped in the skips? We then went on to the Hull Museum of Transport, that was brilliant and it was entry by donation. Well worth a visit. mk2_craig
