purplebargeken
Well it was the closest I will ever get to the Fiat of a similar shape. Yeah, its no 4 x4 but hey, its ok. The walls will be a job for when, if ever, it stops raining. BorniteIdentity
St.Jude
I've got the PDF for the owners manual of this Lada and i'm going to stick it up on the website when I write about the Lada (so next fortnight). I'll hit you a link so you can get it. purplebargeken
purplebargeken
Thanks for that, much appreciated. Any idea where I can get door locks from as the ones on the car are not really functional.

purplebargeken
The rear seats got a basic wipe over and have come up just fine.
purplebargeken
The Lada reminds me of the Daf 44 that I had. Utilitarian yet comfy and hard wearing. I knocked the heater on switch accidentally, the resulting screech made me bloody jump. Cord Fourteener
St.Jude
Get yourself the Doctor Power stuff from the range. Used it in my Lada and not only does it smell nice is shifts shit like sulphuric acid. purplebargeken and BorniteIdentity 1

I love Elbow Grease..fantastic for Engines and grubby door cards, and even sinks & drainers too.. cleans brake dust of wheels a treat too.. did the pickarse engine in summer with it...just a quick spray and £1 of asda's finest jetwash and it came out sparkling!! Boverus
I was an apprentice at a Lada dealership for about 3 years around the time this specimen was new. Following with interest St.Jude
brownnova
Any objections if I now move this onto the main section as it’s becoming the thread of the car? No? Good. dave j, St.Jude, Vantman and 7 others 9
EssDeeWon
A great choice of car and what more could you want for going to the shops in once a week, or when permitted by our leaders in modern day communist Britain. purplebargeken
No, not yet mate, going to get some dino huice in the morning and lob that in the tank. Too bloody cold to be fettling whilst open to the elements.
purplebargeken
Dino juice containers at the ready, drizzling rain braved, petrol flap opened................ keys looked at and tried, none fit. Raging arse ferrets, no key for the locking petrol cap! Plan abandoned until later when I shall wield a screwdriver and suitably heavy hammer. Urrghh lol. purplebargeken
Nearly 60 quid for a plastic locking fuel cap from the Rodina. No, I don't think so.

loserone
Could you just pick it? Locks are generally easy to pick and a lot less damage. If you were nearby I'd pop over and do it for you purplebargeken
High Jetter
Door locks probably superfluous as easy to coat-hangar. Driving an estate version ended up with an overnighter courtesy of PC Plod, as the idiot I was working for had left the rear no. plate off and stuck the wrong tax disc in the window. Accidentally, of course* purplebargeken
TataBobu
I've been looking at this site when I had my red 2105, they seem to have a fuel cap with key for a lot less: https://www.lada.shop/en/2108-1103010-20.html Never bought anything from them, as I live one and a half hours away from a big Bulgarian city, and I bought my spare parts from there. purplebargeken

purplebargeken
Sadly the drill ran out of charge before I could finish the last seat panel off. The seat has come up really very well indeed, am pleased with it. Door trim is responding well also. LightBulbFun
