reb
I'm currently stuck in Tesco car park because I have a great big shiny blob in my vision straight ahead. Not a clue what's caused it but I can hardly see my phone screen. I hope it fucks off soon because I want to go home and go to bed. Get some paracetamol down you now cos there's a good chance you've a headache coming. Stay somewhere dark and stay away from screens for a while. The day after I have one I feel totally wiped out, I lose about 50% of my IQ, so don't plan owt for tomorrow. Stress and eye strain can bring them on. If you wear glasses, get your eyes tested to make sure your prescription is right. If you don't wear glasses, get your eyes tested cos you might need to. cobblers
I'm a cyclist and I live near a road junction, I would probably rather be run over by a lorry than hear any more "beep beep, stay clear, this vehicle is turning left" warnings that trucks now have fitted that wake me up all fucking night. If you are on a bike, on a road, stay out of the way of anything really big like a truck. If you need a loud tannoy message to remind you of this, then I'm afraid that natural selection has chosen you to do something very noble. New POD
I'm a cyclist. But I'm not brave or stupid. There's a Road on my way home from work, goes down a hill called Marchington Cliff. STEEP. WITH A BEND OR TWO. It's not smooth either. I followed a cyclist down there yesterday. At the end he's doing 45 mph. Luckily there is a long straight that flattens out a bit before it reaches a tee junction. Brave or stupid ? Remspoor

iainrcz
Removed rusty gate latches. Found suitable container*, aluminium tin foil tray. Job's a good 'un. Dumps in half a bottle of rust remover. A perfect example being your current Customer's car of the month, which saddened me." Remspoor, chadders, Vantman and 4 others

I had one like this a few years ago where I gradually lost my vision as I was driving. Usually mine are just fuck-off headaches with a sore neck. I was quite grateful to have something else for a change but it wasn't much fun at the time. I just slept it off in the end. I've had one where my arm tingled before as well. But out of the hundred or so that I've had, those are the only two times it hasn't had the headache. Low Horatio gearbox

Might be worth switching to the other type for a bit.

Don't blow your nose too much as it causes more inflammation. Of course it's not nice sniffling all the time, but actually if you do the irritation will reduce. Snort some lukewarm water up your nose to clear it. Takes practice but works really well - one nostril at a time, just a splash of water in the palm of your hand. I don't take antihistamines as I don't like them, but I find a couple of paracetamol helps calm things down when I start sneezing. HTH. beko1987
Use the hoover to suck away your tears as they fall 👍 Ditto for a quick nostril unblock if no ones looking but be careful doing that... Bren
We had a severe weather warning here yesterday - flash floods. It dribbled for about half an hour. I wonder how much the met office costs? Used to have crippling migraines when I was in my twenties. Nothing for years but recently had a few instances of a weird 'swirling' optical effect, similar to the old screensaver where a whirlpool sort of thing bounced around the screen distorting everything.
