Sorry to hear that Vince makes my grumpy a little first world but Samsung, the new black combi oven looks great all bar the bright yellow sticker on the top telling me it might be hot! I know it might get hot I am an adult and it is an oven. At least make the sticker easy to remove rather than half an hours work and half a bottle of white spirit.   🤬

Next time try a hair dryer. It may be quicker.

Never use a hot air gun.

Injections. I have a phobia of needles. I have to go to a dentist (specialist) in the Netherlands as they use gas to completely knock me out. It is not cheap.

God knows what I will do if I am offered a vaccine. Here in Spain they want to keep a register of those who are not jabbed. That list will be shared with other EU countries. Not that I have heard if other EU countries want the list or will give a list of who they have not jabbed. The likes of Germany, Netherlands, Nordic countries are all for privacy and this is a huge anti privacy thing.

Hi, from the North East.

I agree somewhat. I moved from the Isle of Wight to Devon and people are so different and ignorant. I know the Isle of wight is south aswell but it seems to largely have nicer people. God I cannot wait to move back home.

Turns out 2020 wanted one last go at fucking something up. I'm on brewdog punk alcohol free version tonight. 4 pm Idiot sister phones up. She was putting her horse away and it kicked her in the head. Er, that sounds serious. We will come and collect you and go to A&E. Oh no, it's only smashed my specs and broke a few teeth I'm fine* to drive, and she puts phone down.

5pm she turns up here, and the only way she could have looked more like she'd been kicked with a horse would be a comedy U shape dint. We're going to A&E. Left her there, and after 3 hours they scientifically* felt her head, and they think she'll be ok apart from the tooth that fell out, but hey if you feel like you're dying in the night come back. We must not have x rays yet in Yorkshire.

So I'm waiting for dying dying! or not to occur. Given previous horse smashed her foot to a pulp I'd think about sacking the useless fucking things off. Maybe take up speedway instead.

Sadly wouldn't help in the Xantia...There's enough room for about four of them in each of the rear footwells unless I made a point of digging a load of stuff out of the garage to use as wedging material.IMG_20171116_122304.thumb.jpg.61a62365a9b0205906419ad309c7c4ad.jpg

I've got a few of the flat and stubby shaped ones I've had for years which never topple (nor leak if they do!), I'm just going to label one of those for diesel and be done with it.  At least I have one "spare" I can do that with.

It's just the irritation of buying something that's supposedly made to all kinds of safety standards blatantly obviously not being fit for purpose that hacked me off.

I don’t understand. Just stick it behind the passenger seat then move that seat back until the can can’t roll forwards. It’s never going to fall over sideways due to the shape of it, unless you’re driving like a loon.

Oh, edit are you saying that is the seats all the way back? By Jove there’s a lot of space in the back.

Think there's a couple of inches of travel available still but yeah - seat base stops just short of level with the centre console fully back I think - the amount of cabin space in the back of the Xantia is better than many cars that are far larger.  Not quite CX levels, but impressive nevertheless.

In sharp contrast even with the seats in the normal position in the Jag you can't fit a fuel can behind either of them as the gap is too small!

Next time I'm just going to be sensible and stick the can on the back seat with the seatbelt holding it in place...problem solved.  Even with Xantia Activa cornering loads in the picture.

It really annoys me much much more than it should when people post pictures like this one all over the Internet which have been altered to suit the context of the page and might have been slightly amusing if only they had bothered to even try and match the font.

The word Motorcycle might as well have been scrawled in green crayon.

There are hundreds like it and I get sent them all the time. I don't know why I care but I can't stand it.

My neighbours decided to have a big new year's party last night. They took the precaution of covering all the windows up with car frost screen protectors! I think they were most miffed when the police arrived and closed it down. Early twenties couple, who obviously don't give a fuck about the fact we're in tier 4. Impressed with the police though.

There really are some utter cunts out there.

Let's hope karma catches up with them. However, those types seem to slither through life continuing to get away with being bellends. I'm not sure who I feel more sorry for - the people who run the church, or the police who had to deal with the oxygen thieves.

That wouldn't have protected against a few anonymous bricks being thrown through their windows.

If there hadn't been any restrictions no one would have had these parties in the first place, they're just doing it because "fuck you you can't tell me what to do".   Whereas I am scared to even spend time in the same room as those I live with in case I infect them.

Infect all those breaking rules on purpose and let them snuff it.

Anyone breaking Covid rules in this manner.... 50 hours unpaid cleaning work in an NHS hospital, wearing full PPE

Too little, too late but I keep a plastic box in my boot, and some bungees, to stop stuff floating about and tipping over.

That said, the 10L bucket of white emulsion took no notice of that and ruined the pristine boot of the Civic.

What a great shame the police let everyone except the organisers go, especially seeing as it is so close to one of the most infected areas in the UK.

And I would imagine the attendees have been to many of the events in and around East London that took place.

I just wish the police had the resources to have fined everyone of the fuckers there £10,000, but I suppose potentially mixing with covid infected others, they will pass on the virus to their families and friends quite happily. There are not enough expletives in the world to express my utter contempt for every single one of them. Cunts will have to do for now.

Trying to get my vandalised Range Rover going. The remote has new batteries and been checked for a signal. The alarm still won't switch off but the doors won't unlock with the remote. The horn for the alarm is under the front scuttle but it is an immobiler anyway so I am going to have to drag it out of there to get it on a trailer. The field is sodden so that's a no go.

Popped down to the workshop this afternoon to check phone messages. On my way back just as it's getting dark, ping, no dash lights. Stopped to check and no sidelights. Luckily there are two rear fog-lights so drove home with them on. Two new fuses later and that's a job for the morning . Usually go food shopping on Saturday evening to avoid the rush. Not this time with no tail lights.......Bugger no Chinese take away tonight either.

Worst birthday ever.
