My old nineties brochures - want to see them?

I was putting the Christmas decorations back in the loft earlier and grabbed a small handful of my brochure collection from the end of a box.
My wife has started selling some odds and ends on eBay with some success. I thought these might sell ok. I sold three or four of them many years ago but never did any more.
When my wife saw them, and knowing me, questioned whether I’d be better just keeping them and enjoying them.
I acquired these from either Scottish motor shows at the SECC or contacting manufacturers. Top Gear magazine in the nineties listed a contact number for every manufacturer - I phoned them all and asked for a brochure around the autumn of 1996.
Below are photos of the ones I grabbed. Are these of interest? Like everyone and their dog with a smartphone I’ve been threatening to start a YouTube channel for long enough. Would me going through these make interesting videos?
Although I chucked a load when I moved, I also have a load of nineties car mags. A quick glance over a 1994 Autotrader in loft earlier was interesting.

Glad you like them.
Unfortunately I don’t have any Sierra brochures - a bit too early. There were obviously loads for sale in the 1994 Autotrader I had a flick through.
I’ll have a think about the best way to share what I have. It isn’t just brochures, branded carrier bags and other tat like pens.

Ah man, the Scottish Motor Show at the SECC, I loved going to that with my Dad. It was the best day out ever.

I think I still have a few things from there including some programmes, an FSO Polonez pin badge and another large round one that says 'I LIKE PROTON CARS'.

Even in the last few years, when I've been at the SECC for something else, it always evokes those memories from the 90s.

I'd definitely watch your YT channel.

The SECC means the motor show to me. We were probably there at the same time! I remember the Proton badge.
I vaguely remember getting a big red lolly from Lada or Proton.
I think this has pushed me on to try a bit of YouTube.

Go for it. I restarted mine up once I got hold of a workable free editor, FilmoraGo. I even splashed out £3.99 on one of those little flexible tripods!

Do you have a link to your channel?

I have a Go pro I’ve never used, a couple of not ancient smart phones and my wife has a few bits of camera equipment I could borrow. I think she has one of those flexible jobby mounts somewhere.
I’ll have a look at that editor. I might be able to use my work Adobe Creative cloud sub for editing videos. I edited a holiday video a few years ago using the Apple Movie software on a Mac and it wasn’t awful.

that reminds me, back in the day I used to tape every episode of Top Gear off the telly, and catalogue each episodes contents on the VHS sleeve. The Sierra Sapphire versus it's competition at launch was the earliest one I remember taping. I haven't seen them since I moved out of the family home in the late 90s but I really hope my Dad kept them somewhere. I managed to dig out most of my old brochures from his loft 5 or so years ago but I think some are still hiding somewhere

I religiously watched Top Gear every Thursday at 8.30pm. I love watching the old episodes on YouTube. It would be amazing if you could get them on YouTube.

yeah me too. I remember ones which I can't find on YT like the original Escort Cosworth test and a farming family choosing between a Mk1 Justy, Mk1 Panda 4x4 and a Suzuki SJ.   I promised myself every time I go back home I will bring another box of my old stuff back in the hope I find them, trouble is my Dad's wife is a hoarded to almost problematic levels and she moved in after I left so there is mountains of crap ahead of mine in the loft and garage

Same here, I used to occasionally record them but had to re-use the tapes.  I think I found a few minutes of one a while back when I was cataloguing my tapes a few years ago.

Always a good mix of new & old cars, and Jeremy Clarkson when he was on a tight lead.
