Heads up - rogue transporter

Hopefully you can all see this link, as it should be public https://www.facebook.com/bdntransportm2/posts/727114211268146

BDN Transport is the guy who got me out of a massive hole when the Beemer's battery failed in spectacular fashion and due to a fuck up with the AA, my caravan was left stranded, pretty much on a hillside in the middle of Scotland, half way from where it needed to be. Alan picked me up on his way to collect it so it could go straight to the seasonal pitch we were heading for originally, saving me a double run and potentially a much bigger recovery bill if I'd had to bring it straight home with the Beemer then go back up. He dropped me back at my mechanic's afterwards as well, so I could collect another of my cars to keep me moving. He's an all round good guy.

His works van was hit on the M6 and written off by insurance. He purchased a new van with the payout and the transporter he hired to collect it for him - Derbyshire Vehicle Solutions/DVS run by Tom Scott aka Thomas Bradley, stole it the day he collected it and sold it on eBay to a trader. He has previous for this, stealing a Land Rover Defender which was never recovered and there is another comment in Alan's post above from some one who has also had the same happen but thankfully got their vehicle back.

I know thankfully we have some trusted transporters on AutoShite but thought this was worth knowing in case anyone needs to use some one else for what ever reason. Beware of using this dishonest crook! So angry for Alan but glad his van has been recovered at least.

Thanks for raising the awareness. Glad we have trusted transporters here to be able to use their services instead.

I looked at the Derbyshire Vehicle Solutions website:
https://derbyshirevehiclesolutions.co.uk/

It uses this website template from ir-tech.biz:
https://irtech.biz/our-products/additrans-transport-and-logistics-wordpress-theme/

Nothing wrong with that in itself, but when you post testimonials on a real website, they are supposed to be real, not just the template from your website supplier with a few words of fiction added!

Here's the ir-tech sample site, a fictional company called Additrans, with deliberate spelling errors and random text.  The photo of the supposed CEO of Ir Tech and his 'testimonials' certainly get around their customer websites!

What a shitbag. Guessing the innocent trader will now be out of pocket too?

Hopefully not as his new van has been recovered. No word yet on it's condition but it appears to be okay, so he just needs to arrange to get it home, assuming the police will release it to him.

Ah yes, quite possibly, yes as he wasn't aware it was stolen. Tbf it wasn't reported stolen at that point because it had only been collected and Alan believed the transporter saying there had been delays, etc. Not sure how on earth he thought he was going to get away with that one....
