Hogie
Hello, Can anyone recommend a vauxhall breaker for older models like the first generation frontera? Based in south east but happy to travel to get the bits I need. Cheers,
jonathan_dyane
When you said older models I thought you meant something like a 12-4! Motown, The Moog and Hogie 2

Haha, well I rang a place today with a very turn of the century website hoping they might have the bits I need......check out the website, cavalier....... calibra.......senator.....all very promising.....only to be told they dont keep spares for anything that old....."that old" being a 1996 Frontera. http://www.vauxhallspares.co.uk/index.html
Rod/b
Cant imagine there’s many run-of-the-mill breakers keep stuff for 25 year old cars on the shelf tbf.
Hogie
That is true.....they did have a Frontera sport in a fetching shade of blue in their "now breaking" section. With hindsight the "now breaking" section was probably updated 10 years ago.
catsinthewelder
The website is probably a little outdated but I'm fairly sure my local yard won't consider mid 90s too old. Leominster is a fair trek from the South East but they might post, I can if not. http://www.p-tmoore.co.uk/ Hogie
sutty2006
You may have to search further a field, as fronteras are usually found in fields. try phoning Ace Vauxhall in Burslem, stoke on trent. If they won’t post, I may be able to pick up said part and post it at cost etc, Hogie
sierraman
If I had a scrapyard I’d not be giving much space to Fronteras, the chances of someone coming along and wanting a wing or whatever is very slim. Isn’t there an owners club or a page on Facebook? You need to find someone that loves them and has a field full of them. Hogie
Hogie
Yeah I think I might need to find someone breaking one on a driveway or the chap with a field full of them. I have tried a chap on Facebook who sounds like he may have the field full of them mentioned earlier but I'm not sure he wants to sell me anything. We have had a few messages back and forth ( ie do you have this list of bits? If yes how much & when suit to collect? etc) I get a friendly reply but no confirmation on availabilty or prices. Maybe hes busy....maybe he thinks I'm some facebook time waster......either way I have two weeks off at Christmas and this jeep is a kind of a lockdown project for me, I want to break the back of it between now and the new year. If the guy on Facebook doesnt get back to me in the next couple of days I'm thinking I need a backup plan to get the bits I want.
red5
What you need? I have a decent contact for bits, the rest of you - they never break down so there are none in breakers. Floatylight, Hogie and Stanky 2
