t'other way round, fords have smaller centres 63mm vs 65 mm IIRC..

Good chodding with that van, and did the previous owner actually drive it????

She drove it. Shes a vet and was used taking tack and occasional hay bale plus dog walks. She then went and got herself pregnant so needs a 3 seater as her hubby wont use his new car with dogs in it. I think we are the 3rd owner from new. She had it 16 months, guy before had it since 2007

Also If anyone knows of a breaker berlingo or partner I'd be interested in passenger seat. Mine has the multifunction seat that drops flat and tips forward for long loads or use as a table but no backrest adjustment or fore and aft. Wife isnt impressed! Happy wife for happy life you see.

Go take her for a nice romantic trip to the scrappie and get her to try all the seats out, then buy the one she likes best and get it fitted to the van!

Can bolt the old pax seat in the back for the lad...

Farewell little warrior. We will not meet again. Was collected yesterday morning at 815 in minus 3 weather.

The battery required jump leads from my berlingo and a boost pack. Brakes were also stuck on even though I had left the hand brake off. Also had a lovely little skating rink in the passenger footwell.

Was a pain to get it on the truck, wheel slipping and spinning all way up. Looked a bit dangerous.

It didnt help regarding brakes that the rear brakes were not functioning right due to brake controller ripped off axle and the van was around 2 inches shorter on the drivers side. With it having leaf springs on the rear and the accident pushing the rear right spring hanger forward it pushed the axle slightly forward too.

Imagine the fun you could have with that (last picture) and an empty pier?

I think you might be disappointed.  A diesel Escort van is never going to get enough speed up that ramp to do anything more impressive than just flop down over the transporter cab.

Best fucking place to send them. Wont touch another now. Two rear enders are enough and theres alot better Vans out there. See berlingo for a start.

I think this one just nudged 80 once and that was about it.  The last one I had managed 95 on a stretch of private road after being out with friends and getting a phone call from a lady for an offer I couldnt refuse. I couldnt tell from her whether I was doing anything right during the interlude as my fucking ears were ringing for days after that.

Bet they reversed it up as it wouldn’t pull itself up forward. Useless, noisy old nail that 1.8d.

Bet the Partner is about 8 million times better in every conceivable way.

In all honesty I did like the escort. The engine is a boat anchor though. Being rear ended twice in two different escort vans does have lasting effects!

The dw8 isnt a bad engine in all honesty. More of an xud than a hdi due to no common rail injection etc but that's down to being pretty much a tarted up xud anyway. It's better on fuel than the escort and pulls rather well. It's not far off the performance of the 2.0 hdi90 406 I had but the 406 was a heavy car and with only 90 bhp to shove it around it certainly showed. I'm led to believe the 110 was a better suit for a diesel 406.
