skattrd
Yes I did buy the XT from Nev, nice bloke. He didn't have the car long either. Cheers gallondrunk thats my fav car atm. Engine rebuild and respray are on the cards for that this year ... once I sell some motors to pay for the work.
HillmanImp
Wow Skattrd, that's quite a nice collection there. You are defo not pimping your collection enough on here. I want to see more. Since the last update the Autoshite/RR slag Saab has gone and has sadly been scrapped according to Doovla . I replaced it with Lanky Tims Audi which is known as Auschwitz as its big, white, German and runs on gas. In the meantime as I am sure everyone knows, Volksy and I got the Sera from Kinkersaab: Was in pretty good condition considering. In fact it was in amazing condition for a free car. Chucked nearly £700 in total at it and got it back on the road and sold it with a couple of hundred quid profit each. Which was nice. These really are nice cars and I would have happily have rolled in it for a bit as its great to drive but its a little to gay for me. We also got the Lancia Fulvia which should be on the road in the next few weeks as I am doing the last of the welding this week (weather permitting) Has needed serious remedial work though. Will have earned my money on this one. Hopefully the MOT tester wont notice the number plates, the one who failed it in October didn't. He also did not notice quite a lot of the floor was missing although it may be that he ran out of yellow crayon...... Also bought the ex Scooters/Sam Glover Volvo 'Council Estate'. Scooters is picking this up tomorrow. Is a good car but I cant justify keeping it and the Audi. It has electric everything, drives beautifully but I have opted for the Audi as a keeper between the 2. Daf has gone to a new home: And the GT6 is still being used as a shelf for other car parts but will be on the road again about a month after the Lancia I reckon. Really could do with a paint job though..... Once the Lancia is gone I am bringing the Imp over here and putting it in the garage with the GT6 on the drive and will prep the Imp for painting (finally). The Imp should be at Cholmondley next year. Hopefully. Here is a photo of some of the cars outside my mates house the other week pissing off his neighbours

rml2345
I've only got one car and it isn't even shite! Recently had timing chain, handbrake and drop-links done at £Morethanit'sworth and the day after it shat it's exhaust back box, the ungrateful swine.Still... Quite attached to it as it was my first, third and currently seventh car I've had. SM53 YLL by cms206, on Flickr There it is having run to Liverpool when cms206 went to fetch Pete's Senator. HMC
Fleet update.thisI smoked around in for a while, thoroughly enjoying myself and becoming well known to local fuel vendors. Appropriately formerly owned by the London base of the libyan state owned oil company Sirte OIl. with the cruise on on the m/way gave 27mpg, which for a 5 litre v8 I thought quite good. Nice on the whole but an autobox slurring form 3rd to 4th and the beginnings of rot around the screens saw it part exed for this...Which was nice, and very soothing to potter about in, which I moved on a few months ago.ThisWas used for a matter of weeks, before the need for another merc grew and was then swapped for..Which was a great long distance car, which we memorably took over to Germany over last winter amid the OMG sno chaos. Though a v8 (and RWD), winter tyres made all the difference. It did smoke a little, and the scary prospect of a top end rebuild and my wife grazing the side of it down a gatepost made it an easy decision- the time was right to move it on. Some of the proceeds then went on this...A knackered Dizzler estate (370k on the odo) which was an utter dog. You live and learn. which was swapped for this....A rover sterling, which was a pleasant old barge, with a rev hungry honda v6, but it wasnt really my thing and was speedily sold on. At the mo, I have these twoThe Estate has just needed a bit of tlc to become a really nice car. I quite like the puritanical spec with the vinyl seats and gutless engine. It has a high (manual) top gear so its quite good on long journeys, The SL in my mind redeems itself by being in a 70s shade of poo brown, and previous owners have thankfully resisted the urge to bin the old hubcaps and add the 80s alloys and front splitter the later ones got. Which are a nice pair to have, depending on what I'm planning to do/ where Im planning to go. Both are fairly decent and hope to stick with these for a while
CreepingJesus
Not much to say about mine, still much as it was. Erik The Red still looks much the same, but is over the 100,000 mark now. In the background is... ...the two wheeled tank, AKA my Kwak Gpz 750. Still as it was, lurking in the weeds/garden, awaiting a bit of fixing. A fair bit of fixing.Surprisingly, I haven't got a picture of the C-Zup, I'll fling one up when I can be arsed to negotiate the back garden. dollywobbler
2CV still going nicely after 100,000 miles together (189,500 in total). BXs now both road legal, but both need fettling. Newer one needs less fettling so will be in regular use while I try and make the Mk1 better. (187k and 231k miles) Maverick really hasn't been used much lately. It went two weeks with no use at all. Didn't half top-end rattle when I fired it up... (96k miles) I don't seem to have any recent shots of the Mini. Have one from last year. It still only gets occasional use but seems fairly happy. (66k miles) Maverick and Mini are due MOTs in the next month or so.
Pete-M
Current fleet. Jag XJR. Currently awaiting repair where it's been for far too long. A major irritation as I bloody love the mad old thing. Pug 604. Awaiting the first person to bring me enough money or a good enough deal. Currently trying to stop the banger lads from being the first to arrive. Subaru Impretzel WRX. A car I should have bought many many years ago. Buying one of these would have saved me a frickin' fortune as it is bloody brilliant. I'm annoyed by how good it is. Truly irritated. I'd only driven ones that have been attacked by the Max Power brigade in the past and although they were good they had stupid exhausts and tended to be turned up so far they weren't very nice, quick, but not nice to drive, or alternatively bog standard UK spec ones which are a bit soggy and not quite quick enough. This one is 260 bhp (256 or whatever), utterly standard GC8C WRX JDM OMFG YO! spec. Turns out it's pretty much exactly how I like my cars. Bonus. The Escort is currently in limbo. It may never return, but it might just.

Angrydicky
Current fleet. At the A30/35 club rally last weekend I won 'Best Original Car' with this baby. 33,000 miles from new, never welded, about 90% of its original paint. No concours underbonnet or underside here though. 1958 Austin A55. Currently in the middle of a very brave and comprehensive restoration. I'd say the welding is about 60% complete now. 1959 A35. Bought by my parents in 1986 and used daily for many years. My first car on passing my test in 2008. Needs a fair amount of TLC, but I have most of the parts to put it back together now so have recently made a start on getting it sorted out. 1960 A55 MK2. Fairly recent Ebay purchase. Very solid body but not that great to drive, slow, noisy, cumbersome. The clutch master cylinder is on its way out as well so needs constant topping up to keep the clutch working. Very tatty as well. Will probably be moving on soon. Please note: the front bumper has been removed to repair the damaged bumper iron and will be refitted as soon as I can find some A55 MK2 or S5 Oxford overriders (the original ones were damaged beyond repair in the accident that fucked the O/S bumper iron). 1952 Austin Atlantic 'Sports Saloon'. Garage find that had been off the road since 1975 when I got it. Got it MOT's last year, then it was laid up almost straight away after the brakes failed. Needs a massive amount of work to the body, but the plan is to get it roadworthy this summer (dynamo, brakes, tyres, weld up the drivers floorpan) get another MOT on it and get it to a few shows etc towards the end of the summer. trigger
There's some great and diverse cars popping up here, excellent, That MR2 looks lovely, I do like those, I worked on lots of them 10+ years ago mostly for rust reasons. Dicky your Atlantic is one of the fittest cars I've seen on this forum, I NEED to see it once you've got it back on the road!
vulgalour
I'll second the comment on the Atlantic, they're one of my favourite cars and I'd love to see one in the tin. Monstrously overstyled for an Austin but in a truly excellent way. I've been looking forward to seeing the Angry Dicky collection and I have not been disappointed. dollywobbler
Aye. The Atlantic is a truly dreadful, failure of a car but like many dreadful failures, also somehow utterly brilliant. They learnt their lesson though. They got Healey to build them a US-friendly motor. Sorted! Dicky's is great because it's not perfect.

Mike D
My current fleet: 330ci Clubsport is my new daily as of 2 weeks ago, it's blooming brilliant! 30+mpg and a manual box, plus it's my favourite colour evarr! GR8 Beetle - I seem to finally have got the damn thing working correctly, and i love it L200 - I need to lob this in for a test, i miss it lots! Camaro in the background went last year.. Suzuki/ Jago: This needs testing up again too, I miss just getting in the thing and driving over stuff! The above are all keepers - the ones below I need to get sold really! 840ci - Nice to drive, but has developed the dreaded 'shimmy' - it's gettign the whole front suspension / steering replaced at the mo then i'll get it up for sale. I bought it as a daily ut it was shite for that, too thisty and too small inside! The only issue I have with the 840 is its bleedin GORGEOUS and it makes me smile when I look at it! I might squirrell it away somewhere instead.. 1988 VW T25 Van - This hasn't turned a wheel for 4 years - This van sucked the all my automotive enthusiasm out of me after i spent a fortune restoring it and every single thing that could go wrong did - 4 years in a field are its punishment! 1971 VW Beetle - my first car, and my Grandads from new. It's bollocksed, however, one day i'll sell some of the above and get it restored. It'll probably end up in a similar style to the Beetle above 1972 Datsun 1200 - Needs MOT and flogging. I actually really like this but it needs a better home! 2000 Focus 2.0 Ghia - I bought this off my mate at work for 400 quid, it's an ace car! I've lent it to my folks for the mo, it was my daily before I got the 330. That's about it at present!

Lukas
My current fleet looks like this: My "all your round daily driver" and winter-car 1999 Subaru Legacy 2.0 GL AWD Saloon Bought in october 2010, now it´s got 265.000km on the clock. Will be sold before winter comes eventually. We´ll see. My beloved gentlemen-express, driven only during summer 1988 Toyota Camry 2.0 GLi Automatic Have it since january 2009, partly restored since then. It´s a nice cruiser, I love it! Will never get sold anymore. And my project, which is mostly the project of my mechanic: 1986 Subaru Leone Turismo 1.8 GL AWD It was an abandoned project from a friend of mine, now he is restoring it for me to original condition. Very rare pre-facelift-Turismo (3-door Coupe). Will get an AWD-transmission, otherwise remain stock. Should be finished in early 2013.
