just picked up a 47,000 mile 72 imp basic and picking another up between xmas and new year.

the husky is in the workshop at the moment missing all its underside and mechanicals. along with the singer.

Heres my current wheelz....

SEAT Toledo 1.8 20V Turbo. Love this, fast, reliable if a bit thirsty and comfortable. Managed 1000 miles in 24hrs with ease down to the South of France in summer. Ace!

1985 Renault 4 F6. This is the keeper. Currently tucked up in the garage, hiding from the rain. Here it is being my wedding transport last year :D

Plus, just bought a 2001 Mercedes Sprinter but no pictures yet.

Definitely good to be remonded of what people have, or to find out about some that I haven't noticed here before.

My Laurel, which I used as much as I could in the summer but it's now tucked away for the winter on a SORN (though I did move it out of the garage today).

My daily Bluebird, as found via the eBay thread on this very site. In theory for sale, but as I don't have the cash to buy the Camry I'd like then it's going to have to stay for a bit. Even if I do get something after Christmas then I'd ideally like to keep this as a back-up (shame I didn't do that with the green Bluebird saloon).

And the Primera, which was meant to be my daily but is now Mrs SL's after the Carina E in the background got donated to father-in-law. The dead Laurel can also be seen hiding in the corner - it's still there...

I have one of these in the same colour.

Its just replaced my Peugeot 206 but with the crap weather I have no pic's yet. Its a 1200 Grande and to be honest I bought it as a stop gap. I have to admit not being a "modern" Renault fan that its not bad at all and will be with me longer than I thought.

What a great idea this thread is!

Very nice to hear of so many Imps on this forum, so here's mine:

Owned almost 8 years but has been on the road less than 3 of them, due mainly to being skint then being flush but then working too many hours to work on it. Provided top notch wedding transport for me last month, hence the ressurection. Don't think I'll ever part with it but this may prove a bit difficult if future plans work out.

Replaced this earlier this year:

With this:

Which makes muchos sense as a daily (unlike the AX by the time I sold it). Despite being a universally panned 1.8 CVH, it doesn't use any oil and provides adequate-ish performance (and 38mpg). It currently has 53000 miles on the clock and does actually look as good as the picture. Do I sound happy with it? Spotted for sale by my now wife and I can't thank her enough!

And in terms of the little lady, she drives a 1997 Saab 9000 2.0 lpt hatch bought blind off Ebay 3 and half years ago for £1000 with 92000 on the clock in the dying moments of bidding. Was originally mine but has been hers for the last 3 years (and about 50000 miles) after she needed relaible daily transport, wanted a car that weekend and didn't like the 'wild card' AX GT I found, so I bought that and she took on the Saab. I'm describing it and not showing any photo evidence as Photobucket's refusing to play.

And this is the reason behind my user name:

Sorry excuse for a Vauxhall Cavalier 1.6L estate bought new by my parents from Fry's of Otford in 1983 (and therefore one of the very first). They had the infinite wisdom of choosing a dealer fit sunroof over a 5th gear, though in all honesty it was so new apparently that each dealer had one each, so it was a case of get what you were given.

And this is the replacement bodyshell I found on Ebay for £100 a couple of years back. It's since racked up council garage rent that far exceeds that amount but then these things aren't done to make money, eh? Definately a long term project. Anyone got a spare rust free boolid for one? Thought not!

What on god earth is this thing?!, Never seen one before!
It's an Innocenti Mini. Now MoT'd but currently awaiting some pulling out of fingers at VOSA and DVLA - for some reason when it was brought into the country it was registered as a Daihatsu but MoT'd as an Innocenti, and when they tried to MoT it again the computer threw a paddy and would only MoT it as a Daihatsu, which it obviously isn't.

What colour is that?

Is it a lower body rust repair respray with non-matching paint or is it that mega-expensive flip stuff?

It's a "temporary" bottom half repaint - when I bought the car it'd had replacement rear arches and the bottom half had been rubbed down and partially primered - the green paint was whacked on in a hurry about four years ago to stop the primer getting waterlogged, and has been there ever since.
