Not long after we got our Maxi (about four years ago now) we decided to take it to the annual Citroen Chevrons Rally which was just down the road from where we live. Despite not being a Citroen we were warmly welcomed and as soon as we parked up one of the Citroen owners came over to us and said "Would you like these":

They were unused but as you can see the "MAXI" one on the right has now been in use for the last four years and has got a bit grubby. The "AUSTIN" one holds the spare set so isn't quite so dirty. I couldn't believe that, despite not having a Maxi, this guy must have been keeping these in his car until he encountered someone who owned one to pass them on to. I offered him some money for them, but he refused and said that he was just glad that they had found a good home.

The "Saved From The Scrapman" Mondeo we acquired was a Ford demonstrator for its first 12 months then was with Lex Vehicle Leasing for the next 6 months before being bought by the previous owner to us in October 1994. I was quite pleased to see that both the keys that came with it were still on the "LEX SERVICE" key fobs:

Same key I had with my 2001 Focus, one of the best Ford Keys I reckon, I remember my old mans Sierras with the same key, though the key ring part on his was just the corner, not the full length of the key.

Found the keys to my MK2 Escort Ghia the other day. I still have them because someone (and I'm 99% sure who) removed it without my permission.

Anyway, it still has both fobs, siren key and code number for the Laserline alarm, an Autosprint head gasket keyring and a REVS magazine condom holder. I was young...

I have a Volvo dealer keyfob somewhere that I got with the ex-stillOrange S90 which I removed for free, last seen with JohnK.
That keyfob's been on the keys of every Volvo I've owned bar one and will continue to do so.

I have a Honda dealer keyfob that came with my broken Concerto that's going the same way, my spare key for it has a Hot Wheels Civic on it.

I try and make all my keyrings/fobs match the car either by make or colour.

I have a bag of French keyrings I bought at an autojumble a couple of years ago, mostly 70s/80s promotional stuff, anything from mustard and toothpaste to spark plugs etc. Amongst others there's a cool AC Delco spark plug box one, but it's far too delicate to actually use.
Might start bringing it to shite meets for people to have a rummage as I've no clue what to do with it.

I acquired a Jaguar keyring (possibly from someone on here) many years ago and I figured I really needed a Jag to go with it, so I bought a Jaguar from someone on here.

I don't. I often end up with the cars and have to buy the hand books and keyrings to go with them 😒

The Grand Theft Auto V keyring was also free. A company that made them posted on reddit a couple of years ago saying they had some stock they wanted rid of, so I asked for one.

As a result of you posting that. I went and bought a Grand Theft Auto V keyring off eBay. For some reason or other it now lives in the case of GTA5 game.

Whats even odder, I'm sitting bored at home on the works PC waiting for another email to come in and listening to the GTA5 opening screen music.

Fiat key has a fob from the Museum of Broken Relationships in Zagreb that I bought some years ago. Bit knackered now.

The Triumph bike I bought over here from a mate also has the same key ring, but in much better condition.

If you are ever in Zagreb, the museum is well worth a visit.

Has a tritium stick which is quite handy especially up at the caravan where night time outages are a regular happening. Some tat the kids got her. Shit loads of keys. A garage tag that really should GITFS and an ICE tag.

Mine contains a smaller tritium stick but it's brighter than hers. An ICE tag and then a car key. House key and caravan key.

I’ve got a couple of Laidlaw key rings from when I lived in Edinburgh, I’m pretty sure they got absorbed into a bigger dealership from down south though.

Laidlaw keyring with half an Escort van registration painted over, plus a defunct local dealer that originally sold the Crispy Duck MG TF that my wife had for a bit.

By far the most useful thing on my keys (which are uncomfortably cluttered) is the Tile fob. It's a low energy Bluetooth ringer. If you loose your keys as you've put them in that coat you never use, you can "ping" them and they'll play a little tune.

The app also tells you the last time it plotted their approximate location. I found them in the garden once after they fell out of a pocket with a hole in them.

Handy. I've a set of two, one on the Zook and another on the Audi.

I can't find a photo unfortunately, but there was a fella selling a Lambretta a while back with a tiny pressed metal numberplate keyring which matched his scooter. He bought it as it was and didn't know any more info on it. I've searched the 'net but can't find anything similar. Has anyone else seen something similar? I'd love to have one made up for mine.

Lotus has Lotus key fob and no other keys on it

BMW 740 has a "7" Key fob on one key and original dealer fob on the other

All the Opels have matching blitz key fobs as do the bike shite

The two moderns don't have key fobs because the "keys" are thingys that go in the dash

Essential other keys go on a different key ring

I once lost car key and house keys because they were all on one ring so they are not together anymore

If I lose car keys I can walk home and still get in - recover spare car key and walk back and get the car

If I lose house keys I can drive home.......

This extremely rare Keyring was given to me by a thoroughly decent chap in Leyland.

This is the later type of Tiger face. The earlier one (bottom picture) looks a lot less angry!

He had seen some of my Leyland Zoo and he went home and grabbed this for me.

He used to build Gearboxes at Farrington Works. 👍 👍 👍

I've got a Bentley Continental GT3 keyring on the keys for my...........................Hyundai Santa Fe!

I'm going to take a guess that no other Hyundai owner in the world has a Bentley key ring attached to their car keys. Also I'd guess that most Bentley owners don't know what a Hyundai is and have never enjoyed the silky smooth pleasure of Korea's finest 2.7 V6 engine :-)

The key ring was a gift by the way.

I have a small collection of Cortina ( obv) ones around 10…

When I contacted Ford 'customer care' to tell them the MkIII was about to roll over 100,000.... We got a 'congrats pack' which included an enamel/leather fob. It was the world globe with 4 rings around it... Ford '100,000 mile Club' :)

Then a letter arrived, inviting us to do a piece for BBC Arena.....
