Austin 1300 (ADO 16) Estate. Actual garage Find. Edinburgh. Taken away.

OK, story with this is one of my work colleagues bought a flat which belonged to an elderly member of his family after they passed away a few years ago. It came with a garage but the doors had been blocked many years previously. He knew there was a car inside but that was all. He's not a car person so had no interest.

Fast forward to last weekend and he's finally managed to get the garage open and found this.

Now, it looks pretty fucked to me and is likely only good for parts. Or a maniac.

He doesn't want money for it, although a donation to a charity of his choosing would be accepted. He wants it gone though, and gone complete.

If you want spares then you take the whole thing! There's also a spare 1100 engine there too which needs to go with it.

PM me and I'll put you in touch.

Don't all rush at once :)

If no one on  here takes it on, there's facebook group where I would expect it to find a new home.

There seems to be a never ending supply of ADO16s being pulled out of peoples garages and barns 😄

Unfortunately as time goes on, the condition is getting worse of them. :(😟

I dont see why not , the tyres are still pumped up !

and the window has been left open to air the car .

It would be an epic collection thread!

Hopefully the radio still works so you could blare out some tunes while smoking a cigar on the way home.

It needs to be bought by some young punk with acne and then it slowly begins fixing itself on the drive home, all the while Rock n roll tunes blare from the single speaker...

If I had any sane way of getting it to me, I'd give it a go. It would be worth learning to weld for this.

I would but I'm fresh out of acne cream and my wife's tolerance for shit on the drive has already been exceeded.
