dollywobbler
I'm generally running out of scrappage angst, but that's still GRRRRRR!
Guest
FD, this isn't your scheme, and this isn't your fault, but bugger me, what a waste.
myglaren
It's a crying shame. Only needed a few quid spending on it and it is ten times the car a Corsa will ever be.

Richard
My old French teacher had a couple of Fuegos in the eighties. Did the owner have a big nose, a tidy beard and a general air of cuntishness?
reallyloud
Some dealers have taken active actions and saved some interesting cars - its still not too late for this Renault.

Richard
I think every car that passes through the scrappage scheme should be ringed as a matter of principle, regardless of condition.

garbaldy
What garage is this as it would be nice to ring up and give them a piece off my mind surelly they could have done a hyundia (i think thats the one that saved the moggie) and saved it as it would have been good publicity for the garage
fiatdaft
well it was me that did the deal,so say it here if you want, you can save it if you come up with the 4 k the owner got for it.

greengartside
words can't express how sad I am to see the pictures. Thought it was gonna be a right old heap. This car has survived nearly 30 years only to be thrown away by some narrow-minded fool who will end up on the side of the road broken down in 6 months time in his little eggbox Corsa. I'd like to think he will regret what he has done sooner or later. My Fiesta is far far worse condition than this, he should have chucked that in the scrappage scheme instead of the Fuego. Just such a waste.

pogweasel
Unbelievable. I tend not to get as irate about this scheme, but find it hard to stomach that someone who purports to be an enthusiast would quite happily go along with it all. Shocked, disappointed, etc. I expect that others will be far more vocal....

fiatdaft
new corsa £10255 otr,his corsa £6170 otr,and if you do want to buy it i wouldn't be getting involved,we never get involved with trade/scrappage stuff,so you you would have a nice shiny invoice to go with your new purchase.btw the car is not as nice as it looks. pogweasel
Might as well piss into the wind for all the good that would do. The best hope this car had of actually surviving was gone when its death warrant was sealed by "one of our own".
