Well I Never...... I have received 'the mark'!

..... The 'mark of Cain'๐Ÿ™„.....

The rivet counters, over on US Geo forum, have opined that I'm "off piste" with the use of a generic 24mm i.d. O-ring... Factory is 23.7mm ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Yo Ho-Ho.... Anklebiters No1 bf turned up, from his college, and planned to chill for an hour waiting schools out ๐Ÿ™„ ..... Not Bloody Likely, m8!

All he knows about cars is opening the door...

Never too young to learn.... I pitched him into the street, I pointed and he unscrewed/unclipped ".... reassembly is reverse of dismantling!" & 'Lefty Loosely - Righty Tighty' had useful demonstration ๐Ÿ”จ

  • 2 weeks later...

..... Well, forced myself outside [before the rain]= Bloody Freezing ๐Ÿ˜ต

Charging was a bit limp, at tickover, so I nipped my new flat alt belt a 'smidge more' ๐Ÿ˜ต ..... Deffo some stretching since fitted ๐Ÿ˜•

Topped up washer bottle.

Car runs like a Swiss watch, meh ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿฅ‚๐Ÿ‘Œ

....... Well..... Not Quite, or so it seems ๐Ÿง

When I unclamped the battery and went to remove the +/- clamps >>> the Red + just came off... No twisting or undoing [funny ๐Ÿค”] the Plain - Earth was good and nipped โœ”๏ธ

No corrosion or anything, no damage to posts [skinny Jap style].

After an hour & half, green light came on the charger. I plonked the battery back in (I put a nail in under the + clamp) and that is now yarking tight ๐Ÿ‘

I have immediately notice that the Voltmeter doesn't go below 11.9/12.2 on tickover and sits at 13.6/14.0 on the main road = all the headlights on!

I think I shall give the battery a reprieve....ย

We Will See ๐Ÿš™๐Ÿ’จ

What's all this about...... I thought it 'might be' part of ECU re-learning (after having the power cut/battery out) but it is just looping.... forever! Gahh ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

The Idle Control Stepper motor is quite clearly pushing the throttle stop back &forth, when watching it with with bonnet up ๐Ÿค”

Correct me if I'm wrong, the threshold is ยฃ135 for VAT and Duty on the declared value. Under that and you're golden.ย
