somewhatfoolish
Lanolin was used by grizzled old salts to preserve metal and leather from the degradations of salt water for centuries, so the basic premise is plausible. egg and Wack
jon.k
I think I’ll try this. I might use the normal minging dinitrol rust converter and cavity wax for the cills but then this for the rest of the underside, suspension arms etc. It looks like it could do a similar job to the acf50? stuff that people have been using to keep water and salt off. I’m sure it won’t be as good as the proper job but maybe it’ll be more like an eco method of the garden sprayer filled with diesel trick. Agila
Acf50 seems well regarded.
Ian_Fearn
In my experience, ACF50 didn’t stop my camper door hinges from rusting. Bilt Hamber dynax UB did. Have had other success with ACF50 though. Have seen that Lanoguard and do fancy giving it a go but Bilthamber Dynax either in UB or UC really is the best I’ve used and I’ve tried them all over the years. egg
