djb222
Must say I thought it looked familiar, MOT history looks pretty good.
MorrisItalSLX
I’ve had mine for over a year now, would highly recommend. It was @TheDoctor that had one previously that was practically identical to the one in question, his had a 6 digit number plate from memory. DoctorRetro
And if you want a Rover, why not buy this one?
wuvvum
A mate of mine had one of those Corolla liftbacks in about 2001. It's the only 1.3-litre car I've ever driven which would hit 70 in second gear. barrett
HMC
Love these, my Iranian newspaper shop proprietor used to drop me and the bags at my Sunday morning paper round in one circa 1990-94 Utterly terrifying - they do go well for a 1.3. They also had a 3 door 1100- E590cba which also had a hard life and IIRC was written off in 1996. I kept the front dealer issue plate.
Spurious
They're a lovely car. We got them as Corolla Sprinters in Ireland. My Grandad had a red one when he sold his Opel Kadette and it was an immediate upgrade. His was the posh 1.6 with electric windows, wind deflectors a little green "eco" light when you were plodding along and not giving the beans for maximum mpgeees Also to think for an 80s design, they feel surprising modern to drive. wuvvum
Heh, my Carina E had the green "eco" light when it was new. The bulb has long since blown, mainly due to Grandad refusing to ever let it go out whilst driving. Spurious
Conan
Nobody ever sets out to buy these, they always come into your life by chance, but once somebody got a Corolla they would realised it's the only car they'd ever need. MorrisItalSLX
