Will be of no interest i wudnt think but here we go!

Needed a cheap to run car to last me about 4 months (going to buy a convertible in winter.....) been looking around and nothing really took my fancy. This was on facecloth market place not too far away so I went and had a look.

Its in really really nice condition, loads of history including a brand new turbo 9 months ago (£700?!) It also had the full glass sunroof thing which really appeals to me.

It needs the injector seals doing which you can hear but my mate is a diesel fitter and is doing them this week in-between jobs cheap, looks a fairly easy job to be honest. Dropped it off at his last night.

No warning lights on dash, did over 60mpg on way back so we will see......

And it has TINY wheels lol

Bonnet stripes or not?

I look after a 60 plate bini diesel for my Aunti in law, she loves it. It’s an ok car to work on, servicing it is easy and it’s £30 a year road rent. I had to repair the bonnet stripes on hers last year as they had peeled abit. So I wouldn’t bother.

This one is £20 a year road tax, mental

Yes that’s it. Could be the same then £20 or £30 it’s cheap as chips if you like driving them. I’m not keen, soulless Bmw offspring. Lol

It serves a purpose for me but to be honest I'm quite enjoying it! Clutch is dead light and 6 speed box so smooth

My R50 BINI Cooper was superb and inarguably a much better car than either of the two real Minis I had. I especially loved the superb four wheel drifts it could do on damp roundabouts, completely controllable, no hint of over or understeer. Mine had fairly skinny 175 section tyres which aided the authentic Mini feel.

Brill cars these. I'm a fan. Hipe to get one at some point when I get bored of the Zafira.

My neighbour has one, he is slowly doing it up. It was a victim of the recent floods but has been dried out, some parts changed, started and drives now. I've drove it briefly and have driven others as I was trade-plater.

Neighbour has tidied it up a bit more since this photo.  Cleaned up and front bumper de-striped.

nice! MrsChod is complaining about the Audi TT I bought her (1.8t petrol) Fuel consumption so I'm looking at getting her a R56 Diesel, as i wouldnt touch a petrol with a barge pole.

I've had a petrol r56, never ever ever ever again lol

The engines are truly awful, even a mini specialist could not sort mine!

Had an audi TT aswell lol, amazing car but they do like a drink! Is it silver? ?

This seems a nice drive so far tho!

No its like a bluey silver mate convertible I hate driving it. Don't mind the coupes but do look a bit suspect in this ?

How is it performance wise? Is it nippy?

In all honesty mate when she needs a diesel again for work we would probably swap if you were up for it!

Yes I had one which was subsequently owned by Wack / Davidb of this parish and it handled like it was on rails!
