bigstraight6
BS6 the younger came over today to show off the new tyres he just had fitted, the OSR one that came off was apparently 1975 vintage! Here he is scrubbing off the protective wax coating on the whitewall. LightBulbFun, eddyramrod, paulplom and 4 others

sutty2006
White walls are a bugger to get cheap. 215 70 15s for my Mercury are nearly 120 a corner! Bought a set a fair while ago for 85 quid but they didn’t last long before they were cracked to the cords. bigstraight6

I decided to change the way the car looked and went for tall skinny blackwalls. All 4 tyres and the set of 19" wires came to less than the pair of rear whitewalls and once I'd factored in selling the 17" wheels it almost worked out free! sierraman
Liking that Cougar. Matchbox did one in exactly same colour in the late 60’s.
