Started it up and because I haven’t used it for a while I left it ticking over while I was cleaning the inside out. Robson3022
Got the oh shit kit out and fettled it after about half an hour. Kit consisted of a door stop, two chisels, 5 weed lining pegs, 2 micro fibre cloths, gaffa tape and a bbq tool. 1 shallow dent as the only damage! Car is for sale if anyone’s interested. It’s not getting a proper ad when one sold recently for £150 on here! This ones £900. gm

Robson3022
Bad times. I’ve bought and sold quite a bit over lock down and lots of it I’ve toyed with keeping. Certainly the T5 Volvo, the Bini S and the ML but the XC70 trumped them all and I was almost certain I was keeping it long term...... Until tomorrow where it’s being p/xd against something else. I’m a bit gutted and was hit with buyers regret as soon as I sent the deposit! The xc70 is a great car and I’ll certainly be on the look out for another. Tune in at 6am for tomorrow’s collection!!!!! Robson3022
Here we go. Car I’m going for was advertised for all of about 20 minutes before I decided to go for it. Genuinely gutted the Volvo is going as it suits my needs but I couldn’t resist! I’m confident with this one so minimal collection kit. Have a collection rainbow. You won’t always find a pot of gold. Today it’s an Indian restaurant. Poo count 0 even Ralph the Goldendoodle says it’s too early for one! Robson3022
Collected pez shot and poo count combo 1. In a bit of a rush to get home. Shouldn’t be a problem in this!!! 20/10 Neil is a top shitter. Loses a point from last time after no sausage rolls. NorthernMonkey
You would have been the lucky recipient of a apple topped pork pie from the local butcher/pie specialist (taste a lot better than they sound, trust me) if I’d had a bit more notice of your arrival ? Robson3022
Fuel gauge tells lies in this thankfully! I was warned of this by @NorthernMonkey. Put £70 when I set off yesterday and it didn’t click to full. Driven home then went to use it today and it was getting close where it was when I picked it up. I was a little concerned as I’d only done about 130 miles. Went to the fuel station expecting to have to put a fortune in......£40.....click! Result. Need to pay more attention to work out what sort of MPGs it does (and stay off the loud pedal as it’s comically fast for a van). paulplom

NorthernMonkey
When I bought it, I did the same...brimmed it at the closest filling station then filled up at home...I managed about 32mpg on the motorway being sensible but as you get used to the performance, it’s easy to get low 20s ? Robson3022
So I’ve owned this fine steed just over a week. It needs a bit of a clean out and a polish. I need to sort the headlights although there bright enough. I think I’ll get the front and back bumpers painted which will tidy it up no end and remove the decals (id like some originals but I imagine there expensive.) Its a great thing to drive, isn’t too bad on fuel and was really handy when I had to move a few people around the other day. It’s a shame the air cons gone but the sunroofs all work which is good. Have a photo of it pretending to be the Volvo and earning its keep. Floatylight, paulplom, privatewire and 1 other
Robson3022
I’m never going to have the 3 days this needs to get the interior tip top. So I’ll have to do it in little bits. Pulled this seat down for the first time to see if it was sleepable and.. it was grim. I’ve given it a wipe and scrub but I need to get the wet vac in there anyway. paulplom and DVee8
Robson3022
So the party bus is going to get it’s first outing as a camper on Monday so is getting a good clean today after I’ve done some birthday shopping for Mrs Robson3022. @NorthernMonkey @colc did either of you guys investigate the fuel gauge problem? It’s pissing me off. It normally gives you a rough idea but today it was showing just below a quarter tank so I topped it up. I managed to get a grand total of £37 in!!!! It’s now showing half a tank. Any ideas?

Robson3022
Gave this some wet vac action today. Going to sleep in it on Monday so thought it best to try and get it a bit less grim. First up was the disgusting folding rear seat. doesn’t look it but it’s much better. Attacked the rear carpets which has made it much nicer. I need some more time to do the rest but this will do for now. activate van mode These drill brushes are possibly my best ever purchase. water was particularly grim. Probably needs another going over but smells so much better now. Just need to find another spare 5 hours to do the rest! rainagain, Dave_Q, Tenmil Socket and 1 other
