michael t
Nice thread revival! Still admiring that SpaceCruiser you papped back in 2010 at the top of this page, currently Sorned, last taxed & MOT'D back in 2014. Nice to know it still lives. binhoker668
Yeah, crazy how things have changed since I first posted it. So many of the papped cars are now rare and collectable or simply gone. michael t
nacho man
Ace thread, just had a look through it all, Podders used to be my Scrapyard of choice as a young un as lived in Arnold and then Carlton so both pretty close. binhoker668

Tadhg Tiogar
Totally! And that's not even the half of them - grand majority were M,P,S,T regs etc. Even Mrs Hoker was exclaiming at the amount of decent looking motors.... ...because throwaway society? binhoker668
Anyone know how to re-title an existing thread? Might reuse this one for a while, for random spots and general photie stuff...
Datsuncog
Anyone know how to re-title an existing thread? Might reuse this one for a while, for random spots and general photie stuff... Yup - go on back to your very first post - select 'edit', then select 'use full editor', then edit the 'topic title' line to whatever best pleases you. Some nice spots on here (albeit slightly lump-in-the-throat at the minty purple Metro getting flattened). binhoker668

binhoker668
By the way - does anyone else ever have a practice run on doing a job on their car, by finding one in a scrapyard and replicating the task on a fucked car of the same model? It worked for me yesterday lol.Unfortunately, not many Xants in scrappies these days... mercrocker
By the way - does anyone else ever have a practice run on doing a job on their car, by finding one in a scrapyard and replicating the task on a fucked car of the same model? I made sure it was possible to get inertia reel belts in and out of a W123 without a massive ball-ache and trialled changing the wiper motor on a W116. God, I miss that Merc yard - nothing stacked until it was picked clean. It wasn't a cheap place but they didn't throw anything away. It also taught me how and where they rot! binhoker668

binhoker668
All of these before I even ventured inside the (very smoll) Motor Museum of Gdynia. Which I found accidentally. TBH, the inside photos are a bit boring. Y'know, restored historical vehicles. I will post them, but thought that the crap in the yard was WAY more exciting. Sara (10) agreed with me. "Chrissy, can we just stay out here and explore please?".Bless her wee cottons. Sooo much want for this. Lacking many* mechanical skills though... Trying this one again, in the hope my laptop will rectify... NOPE.

And the Jaaaaag is the boss of the scaff company on our campus. The (modern remake) Feu Orange and Norn Iron numberplate mean that I’m defo gonna strike up a chat at some point... michael t, catsinthewelder, clayts450 and 2 others
