Toyota Corolla Verso 1.8 VVti - Plugs and oil changed - have a look at them....

Set about changing the plugs and oil on the car today as have just done my Prius too. I took a photo of each plug. What do you think? Can you offer up any suggestions as to why they have gone like that - white powdery crap on them? What caused it? Do they look ancient?

The car previously was quite difficult to drive smoothly but I put that down to my driving and in and out of different cars with different biting points. Car is notably smoother to drive with these new plugs....

Thanks all!

P.s I know I've only uploaded 3 images but dont know what's happened to the 4th on my phone but be assured it looked identical!

“They’re so reliable those Toyotas”

ie they never need anything even basic servicing.  ?

(Those plugs look ancient - so I suspect the previous owner subscribed to the above)

It drove pretty much Bob on as was. Changing the plugs has made it even better. Everything still incredibly tight at 120k for what is now a 15/16 year old car...

15 year old 206 for example with same mileage would not I repeat not drive like this!
