I only saw 4 but as the rest of the picture was blurry, decided to extrapolate* the data for impact.

There's an office block on this car park now, which from memory was built in the early 1980s. I was nearly 18 months old when the pic was taken.        The car park to the top left separated by the trees was used to be the "cattle market Street car park" which closed down in the late 1980s to make way for construction of the Castle Mall shopping centre, which opened in 1993.     You can see the top of Norwich Castle in the background.

What's most striking is how much space everybody has to get in and out of their cars compared to the equivalent now.  How much smaller even the 'big' cars are.

Has anybody ever tried parking in the road-side spaces overlooking the sea in Plymouth?  You literally cannot open your door there.  In 1979, it would have been considered 'a bit tight'...
