YES! It's very exciting, except it isn't, because nobody turns up to my sodding lot for days.

Posted Image

Oooh!

Posted Image

Well dear, how about this sporty Estelle?

Posted Image

Sod you then. More days of silence follow.....

Posted Image

Except from this tosser. Go away!

Posted Image

Another low-rent punter appears, let's have another crack at that Estelle.

Posted Image

Promising!

Decided to head down to the auctions and picked up a tidy Volvo 343 and a rough Fiat 126. I've only got a 5-car pitch, but there was a little beauty I couldn't resist adding to my trade stock.....

Posted Image

Hey hey! Time to head back to the lot.

Posted Image

A sale at last! C U L8R bodged-up Cortina!

Posted Image

Approached by a punter. Bidded him on it. He wanted too much. Was only some rubbish ex-rep car by the sounds of it. Still, I always go to the auctions on Wednesday - let's replace the gap the Cortina has left.

Posted Image

Time to increase my J-tin portfolio with this Civic. 82K on a 5-year-old car could be a problem.

Posted Image

Unless you're Quentin Wilson. Let's adjust those figures a bit.

There we go!

Mint Sunny and cash for a rough 126? Yeah alright then!

Posted Image

Into the next month, giving me an opportunity to knock a few prices down - see if I can shift that sodding Estelle.

Posted Image

But here we are, someone who fancies the Sunny, knocked a bit off the price - we got there in the end!

Might update this more tomorrow. This is quality! Anyone else who fancies it, it's over here: http://www.worldofspectrum.org/infoseek ... id=0003396

(I recommend using the "Fuse" emulator, it's on the Internet somewhere)

Surely it wouldn't be too hard to knock up a server-based version of this game? A bit like all the 'RollercoasterFarmMafiaBrothelVilleWorldHell' shite on Facebook, maybe with some stunningly pixelated isometric graphics to add a touch more realism. We'd each start off with a plot, a mould-covered Sprite and a couple of hundred quid - the object of the game would be to rip each other off repeatedly until a lucky few had amassed enough wealth to build a concrete forecourt and spanking new Portakabin with toilets.Other options could include hiring a scatily-clad Albanian immigrant to wax the cars at weekends, or entering into business with some local travelling Irish businessmen.

Good work Hirst! I will be downloading and playing this one later on.

I used to enjoy this one a few years ago, might not be a favourite of everyone in the Autoshite community but hey! Those Mk2 Granadas are only (very badly) pixellated.

It's quite addictive, but there doesn't seem to be a lot of skill involved to be honest.

GENIUS.I've been looking for an idea for a game to write. This is it.I wonder for added realism whether I could tie it in to Autotrader to pull off real cars at real prices.... hmmmm ;)I'll let you beta-test it in 13 years when I've pulled my finger out.

I did get partway through a Top-Trumps game based on Autotrader.... mainly because the old website just numbered cars sequentially, so if you clicked on a random car the address was something like autotrader.co.uk/cars/6859494.html. Add one to the number and you get another entirely random car. Add another one, get another random car. I was looking into how to get the specs from parkers.co.uk when Autotrader changed their entire website and broke my cool system :(

In an effort to get my 7 year old son a bit more time on the PC and get a game at the end of it, we're making top trumps cards. We did the card outline on CorelDraw, did some internet searching for car pictures and facts and then we print them out. Get about 9 cards to a sheet of A4 and you can add to them whenever you like.As a 7 year old boy he was quite keen on putting the Bugatti Veyron in, but the Land Rover V8 aces it out on number of seats :D Any ideas of a production (ish) car that'll beat a Bugatti's top speed? I might try and sneak in the Porsche 917 because the Can-Am cars were flirting with 1500bhp in qualifying trim. Not really a production car though...The Bugatti has also got something like an 8 litre engine which is quite difficult to beat. I think Cadillac did a 500ci saloon in the '70s which is about 8.2 litres. Anything else in the Hirst executive fleet? What were we talking about again??

The filth! February wasn't a great month for "Clappers", but it was a busy one. Lots of part exchanges! One of the better ones being a tidy Audi 100, which sold nearly straight away - sadly had to take a part-ex against that too - another ropey Estelle but at least this time I only had to fork out £100. Dumped it into the trade stock - some wag offered -£25 for it. Clear off!

Posted Image

He's dreaming if he thinks I can fork out for an XR4i. Out of it!

Posted Image

But March saw the first operating profit - wahey!

Posted Image

Here's my retail stock now. Pog's Maxi is RUBBISH compared to mine.

Posted Image

And my trade stock. I've sold on the Civic so I'm deciding what will fill that gap. Not putting the Estelle on, took enough time to sell the last sodding one.

Astounded at how well-balanced and in-depth this game is, there's loads of cars available at the auctions. Missed out on an MG Metro last time.

Hey Hirst - is this game for real or just something you've created?I see the upper middle class family on Electric Dreams conformed to the the appropriate stereotype and got a BBC micro rather than a working class Spectrum ' they're just toys really'.Points to the father for buying 'Weekend at Bernies' as one of the under the counter VHS tapes though!

It's for real - I've been playing it all morning, it's ridiculously addictive. Good job I'm not at work as I'd have ended up smuggling it in somehow. Into July now, loads of deals, got a Princess in stock! Also took a high-mileage Fiat 127 in part-ex for an Escort Ghia, knocked about 40K off it and awaited a sale. Shortly after.....

Argh!

No!

If you download it and play it through an emulator you'll be able to save it.Some woman came onto the pitch asking for a Stanza! Astounding. Haven't even seen one for sale, soz love!

I'm using the Fuse emulator, couldn't see a way to save it. I'll have another look though.

Flippin 'eck! Send her over, I've got one here that I've been trying to palm off on every punter that comes in. I've now had it longer than the previous 3 owners
