Jamie's mondeo shenanigans.. 3rd mondeo of 2020

Recommended Posts

Cool. More gutted the fact its a right off tbh.

Just give it a good wet vac inside it was minging.

Changed plate bulbs for led ones and ordered some genuine Ford mats second hand for a bargain of "14.99 delivered!

If It behaves itself I'll treat it to the wheels being powder coated and some new front discs as there's a bit of a vibration at low speeds

Disagree on that, nobody wants Mk2/3 parts (apart from me who has a garage full of them) but the Mk4 is at the stage where it’s banger money - not worth putting new parts on but ready market for used bits.

Eh? I said that old Mondeos are practically worthless. That includes the Mark 4.

IIRC mk2 Focus RS brakes fit on these. (fronts that is). They dont fit on mk3 mondeos though lol

XC90 are bigger, a lot cheaper and unlike the RS, don’t require different brake hoses.

When I renewed the discs, pads and fluids all round with OE stuff on mine, I wish I had gone this route.

I’ve faded the brakes more than once, and they look tiny behind 19’s.

Again I’d disagree there. Plenty of Mondeo Mk4 on the roads and a ready market for used parts for them.

Agreed. ‘practically worthless’ must mean something different to me!

Good stuff. Cheap, too.

My dad has his mk4 TX because of my old one, and three mates have optioned up mk4.5 TXS estates now, 2.2 x2 and a 2.0.

I recommend them to anyone.
