lanciamatt
If my memory serves me correct the fiat twin cam dosnt have the balance shafts in the engine. I've got a idle control valve still sitting on a dedra turbo twin cam engine in garage if you end up needing one.
GeordieInExile
Came in expecting to see the more recent estate thing they made. This is WAY better. Although someone should definitely get the newer one as well so we can do a head to head.
tul66
Well done. I've had many Themas over the years and have loads of parts which are common to these including a full stainless exhaust and wheels with winter tyres.

lanciamatt
Yes that's it, take it off and put ign on then look in it while plugging it in and you should see it move, and feel it too.

Arghh didn’t think to do that! I’ve had it off and cleaned it out with WD40 the best I could, didn’t try and take it apart though. Just been on a run for an hour or so and it’s still lumpy and cutting out on idle occasionally so it might be knackered. I’ll have it back off tomorrow and do what you suggested! lanciamatt
It could also be the Co that needs adjusting. It might be running a bit lean. I've got a Co machine, but it's a bit far for you to come to Barnsley, but you can if you want to.
lanciamatt
What rpm does it idle at? . Should be about 800rpm, adjuster is on top of throttle body, it's a brass lock nut and flat blade screw driver adjuster. You set it with idle control valve disconnected and engine warm. jmsguzzi
Decided to see how water tight she is today, the answer is around 87%, not bad. A little bit shinier now anyway, could definitely still do with a proper detail, but that’s low on my rather large list of priorities. We should definitely try and get a NE shiters gathering set up soon though, once I’ve sorted some of the Cromas more pressing issues.
