Liked for the beaded seat covers. Makes the red Fox look good!

It works though, the Fox doesn’t

Now has 3/4 working electric windows. The one with the wood holding it up has had the regulator and motor removed, motors are expensive so I think I’ll be replacing the wood with a bit that fits better ? ?

Quite happy with how this is coming on.  New plates arrived today so I'll need to get those and the wheel arch covers fitted and I think it'll actually be pretty smart!

Shame about the dull rattle canned paint on the OSF wing, but I'll not be chasing that particular rabbit I don't think!

Back in 2006/7 after a myriad of failures on my BX GTi I rushed out and bought a 96 Golf GL with the 1.9 umwelt turbo diesel from a local trader. Low miles, full history, sensibly priced. The sort of car your dad would approve of.

I absolutely hated it. It was stodgy to drive, gave me awful back ache and developed huge rust blisters in random places. On the plus side, it did 20k in the year I had it, never put a foot wrong and cost nothing to run. My BX couldn’t manage a full tank of fuel between failures. One of the few cars I was prepared to sell to a friend, who ran it for another 10 years without any major expenditure.
Looking back now, a set of new springs and dampers would have probably livened the thing up but I would have refused to spend a penny on it.

I hate to say it but they are 100% recommended by me.

Fuck me. £325?!

You are still most welcome to minYeah e if you decide not to go for the £325 ones.

Yeah there's absolutely no way it's going to get a set of £325 wheels :D

I will definitely come and get those if we don't get locked down
