Motown
Whats your favourite Car and Star combination? This can be famous actors/actresses or characters from TV an Film who owned a particular car. Gene Hunts Audi Quattro from Ashes to Ashes. Oh and Keeley Hawes might be extremely attractive but id be telling her to get her arse off the bonnet ? Makepeace had a MK3 Escort Cabriolet (1.6i, it didn't get called an XR3i cabrio until the MK4 facelift.) IIRC it had a WC reg number so yes it will have been a Ford press fleet car. Dempsey (the septic) had a Merc W107 350 SL.
AndyW201
Okay, the character wasn't allowed to drive this car (except the one time, notably, in the episode 'Golden boy', where he explains he wasn't actually insured on it!), but what an iconic duo. bunglebus, sheffcortinacentre, 155V6 and 4 others
Jerzy Woking
Jeff Randall in Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased) had a base Vauxhall Victor FD (2 litre). Jeanie (Hopkirks widow) had a Mini (BAP 245B) which is still on the road. But I loved the Victor, and yearn for a VX4/90. Aye, I've been following Mr Shifters posts on FB of the Consul resto, beautiful job. Shame about the other Sweeney motors, rumours keep circulating about the gold Granada Ghia RHJ 997R still being in existence, albeit in a bad state. JeeExEll
Loads of pics on the net of Jackie Stewart with this Mk1 RS3100, but this colour pic appears to show it as the only Purple Velvet one. Don't honestly know if it's a doctored pic or if it's gen, looks gen to me. Gorgeous colour for Ford models 73 - 76. But you just couldn't imagine, say, a 76- 79 Mk4 Cortina Ghia or a 78 Mk2 Granada this colour, it just wouldn't look right. Ford geekness can be very strange.
