Because she first learned to drive in a unimog on the farm in Inskip & would be ideal for the school run and Asda trips

I must admit there is very little new stuff that excites me. Maybe a Jaguar F type. A lottery win fleet would have to include something pre-war, or just post war, something from the early fifties, most likely a Riley RM. I have a Landrover 110, a Jaguar X type and a new Ford Focus. I have been looking at Merc CLK convertibles. They seem so cheap for so much car. There's probably a very good reason for that.??

Not at all. Had an 04 plate one for a few years, sound as a pound. Sold it 2 years ago and it's still going strong.

I’d also buy a mk2 escort 4 door ghia as I’ve wanted one since they were unloved bangers (I was 10 in1990 and it was the default buy/thrash/crash/throw away for all young drivers back then it seemed) now a lottery win is needed.

They are still relatively affordable in Australia

£6k for this tidy one: https://www.carsales.com.au/cars/details/1980-Ford-Escort-Ghia-Mk-II-Manual/SSE-AD-6424297

But if I won the lottery I would probably follow suit with Skizzer and get a Lagonda.

I too have simple tastes and with an unlimited budget would probably end up buying decent examples of things I've had before and liked. So a Series 1 Land Rover for pottering about, a nice Volvo 240 estate and an Austin Dorset Tourer. If I occasionally wanted something fast or flashy I'd just hire it.

Or maybe;

Clearly it would have to stay at an airfield, and I'd have to pay some old geezer in a boiler suit to look after it and biggles to fly it to airshows 'n' what not, but I'd like to be custodian of a classic cold war Jet.

Could never really decide with cars.

my lottery win fleet would have to consist of

Capri 280 Brooklands restored to mint condition

Capri rebuilt using focus wrc parts, full 4wd, handling sorted, 500 brake minimum, caged, road and track monster

gen 2 scooby legacy twin turbo restored to mint but with impreza wrc mods, usable as daily driver but winter fun toy

rover sd1 v8, restored with full leather and reliability mods, motorway cruiser/towcar

89 micra k11 as that was what i learned in but small enough for tight supermarkets

irvine built volvo ailsa bus, converted to motorhome with all facilities but capable of shifting capri

70's sprite major caravan rebuilt to modern spec internally in terms of heating and facilities but still having the classic shape

A big Euromillions win would see the addition of an " American engined GT wing " to my collection. This would be the most exotic of the various sheds. It would have a AC 428 Coupe, Bristol 411 and an orange 412 on Denovos, a Gordon Keeble. CV8 and FF, an Iso Lele and Fidia, a deTomaso Deuville, Monteverdi 375/C and an L,  and of course a Monica.

The other sheds would include ;

The 60's barge recreated as factory V8s collection- 383 Super Snipe, 289 Zodiac, 327 Viscount, Daimler Hemi Austin 3-Litre etc- but not hot rods, made as if the manufacturers were putting them out as P5b rivals.

The 1976 Renault, Simca, Citroen and Peugeot Motor Show stands- with one of everthing that would have been at Earls Court that year.

The Granada and SD1 shed.

The Range Rover shed, possibly including P38s.

If I won the lottery big time I would buy some very expensive cars to park alongside my cars of much cheapness like my Citroen LNA.

Jaguar D Type

Lola T70 MK3B

Invicta Low chassis, Carbodies bodywork

These spring to mind, but there will be others.

Obviously I would need a huge warehouse and fully equipped workshop. Then there would be the break out area and I could have great fun designing that with car of the week in the coffee shop.

Now I would need quite a number of staff to help me look after the collection, would anybody be able to stand working for me, one day drive a Citroen Visa, next day a Jaguar D Type! None of the jobs would come with a company car but would have an indoor climate controlled parking space for your own tat!

The bit I like the best about the plan is that I would not have to sell any of my existing collection and I have come to realise that I enjoy my cheap cars just as much any others.

Wouldn't mind a Bristol (or a pair ;) ), but I'd rather have a

Yeah, Tatra was my first thought. If I could only have one the 603 seems a good compromise of style and useability,

But if it was a proper lottery win I'd have a T87 for messing about with,

And a 613 for everyday use, which is essentially the same as the 700 you posted above. Preferably a late 80's one as the buttons, air vents, ash tray and a few other bits are straight out of my Favorit.

Even in the same shade of brown.

But I wouldn't say no to any of them. As long as there's an air cooled V8 hanging dangerously out the back I'll be happy.
