GingerNuttz
Just finished the underside, It's been epoxied then an industrial primer that's full of zinc followed by black paint and underseal so should last many years before it needs any welding work. So I've moved on to polishing and the last job will be to fit the door cards. Once it's polished and a couple of little touch ups from building the car back together it'll be ready to go. GingerNuttz
First pass with the buff from the front to the back doors is done, got a few wee nibs I need to remove before the second pass. Arse end to polish then back to sanding all the little bits I've missed. Shite Ron, Jim Bell, Amishtat and 22 others
GingerNuttz
Stage one done. Masking tape shows little bits of dust I missed because I couldn't find my paint pen. Will wash it down and scuff the little bits I've missed on Monday then it's onto g10 and go around the car again before wax. It's a big beast to polish, my back is knackered 😂 Jim Bell, Shite Ron, mercedade and 27 others

Quite a few in this one due to the state of the body, on a normal car with minimal bodywork I can knock them out in a week. Jim Bell

GingerNuttz
New coil ordered and will get new plugs on Tuesday on the way to work and I'll see if they stock a condenser that will work just to be on the safe side. The coil had a hole on the underside and the plugs look as if the car has been running really rich for some time. My dad nearly had a heart attack when the car backfired through the exhaust, I've never saw him jump as high in my life 😂 Saturday the 6th it'll be ready to make the journey back to Glasgow. anonymous user, Coprolalia, Split_Pin and 11 others
GingerNuttz
Car was going back tomorrow since the new plugs arrived today but it threw a wobbler and started leaking fuel while running like a thwaites dumper as soon as you apply throttle. Runs at idle a lot better but soon as you go near the throttle it just dies. Carb needs a rebuild and distributor needs points, cap, rotor and leads just to be on the safe side. It knows it was going home and pulled a sicky to get out of driving to Glasgow 😂 sdkrc, Coprolalia, Scruffy Bodger and 8 others 7

captain_70s
An overnight stay on my street will generate the sort of dust level that you'd expect from a car that's been rebuilt from scratch in a small garage. Everything I own looks like it's been stored next to an active volcano. sdkrc, Jim Bell, Split_Pin and 2 others 2
GingerNuttz
Engine sorted and a whole new fuel system fitted along with a carb rebuild. Runs sweet as now apart from it blew an exhaust gasket earlier but it just sounds even more epic now 😂 Will be back in Glasgow this week.
