MiniMort
Hi, I don’t know what Autoshite’s policy is on shameless self promotion but I think if there’s a place to promote my new radio show it’s here. So ten weeks ago I was approached by a dad of an old mate of mine who has an online radio station called Duggystone Radio. He follows my Instagram and took a liking to my little history lessons of cars so he wanted me on a show. And before I knew it, The Road Show began as a little 10 minute segment on Monday’s Business Show but it’s already expanded to its own hour-long programme. I’ll admit that the show does still need some work. From next week I’ll be turning it into a show which, rather than just covers one topic, has various small segments that hopefully will become regulars so people know what to expect. I want it to have car related news, perhaps a segment on someone’s interesting car, maybe even road tests - who knows?! It airs on Sundays at 11am on Duggystone Radio (you young blades can download the app on your Androids and iPhones) and then it gets uploaded to Mixcloud afterwards for people to listen to whenever they want. I’ve been a member of Autoshite for a long time and absolutely love it’s community so I wondered if you’d be interested in giving the show a listen and telling me what you think. I mean let’s face it I’m no HubNut, I’m 18 after all, but it would mean the world for me if my shows got your backing as petrol heads and enthusiasts of shite cars. Thank you. This episode was the second we did. I cover a wide variety of topics (like developments in the electric car world, people’s first cars, even a report from the NEC Classic Motor Show a few weeks back) but this one is probably the most shite so far, it’s Cars You Love To Hate. www.mixcloud.com%2FDuggystoneradio%2Fthe-road-show-_-cars-you-love-to-hate%2F&h=AT0Msi3J2qq27etz5c-2ajIXFqU8KH05ane_LT574H6f19ZeVeZlgn0JuN7r0LTX5kUADI3jIKe5AIOJVji8aqQXIbSyP0H6nB6PUeUcc39gTYcKzMpAEN3ekHxjoaM-CxJ0nVDA04axpjLSsIU6I7u_zXIEJXEeo5zeJqzscez2ZdWieRjFfxK2k52K9iuNmVIJDB7RQ4_jR8sk1Lq16ucKLVD3Xbqsk4XIbURTwYbOBwNao8DX1_yrf553_mteE7U6w6jbX9max9p-EhQIe-aOLLgjUPpendgA0m0rQ6uwJxJGZbmc0XFJq32gb0WmjwbQoUdR6y7uFbycHd5I87FdCDZdZfDfcYQL9HShBwiZNDsvdfIkUvE7RFQ1rCWfBC6n40h8eExsigoV3X8G-6vmWEgtkgnifBdMOm_HHnqYOnWETRVLy_FRiYGsoWwynz5QT7HjzzQ940rsLc5lHFcm7yOvuQaANNEregFuaR2dkTsrRCuId8U7eBs06kHYB4sk1X89yuHsMhmpant1_gA7YJa6pqIuVbpusxVJDfQEaa8f8-RDCIsWxtR6ZYYPqcji8crcQYHV1mmg-aUm7L_aT1aKqj4aw49fsRwue-Wuv6h3UDU2NLkLvwy6NXm5EoSB9hu4fnA UltraWomble, Aston Martin, spartacus and 9 others

MiniMort
Just now, Dave_Q said: Shameless plug OK by me, will give it a listen on my way to work one day. Thank you, that means a lot. Nows probably also a good time to mention that on Facebook we also have a group page. Just search for The Road Show - Duggystone Radio and, by all means if you want to, add yourselves to it. It just means that when we're looking for peoples opinions you can comment with your views and experiences. It would help me immensely. Thanks. paulplom
My partner was on Bbc Tees radio yesterday. They came and interviewed her the day before. It was about the courses she runs for the rnib called living with sight loss. I was cringing listening to her voice. It’s why I can’t listen back to myself when it’s on!

MiniMort
https://www.gofundme.com/f/italian-fiat-126-road-trip-for-headway-charity?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=p_cf+share-flow-1 So Duggystone Radio this summer is going on a bit of a road trip. Really its gonna play out a bit like the Mighty Dacia trip from 2018. Four of us presenters are jetting off to Italy to buy two Fiat 126s. From there we will (try to) drive them back to the UK and eventually go on to sell them. The profits raised from the Fiats will go towards both keeping the station afloat and most importantly the charity Headway. Headway helps people suffering from brain injuries and offers a free support line. They are helping to reduce what is the biggest cause of death in young people today. Right now, Duggystone Radio doesn't really have the money to do the trip which is why we've set up a fundraiser. If you donate just a couple of quid you're not only helping us mess about in Italy (although of course you'll be seeing plenty of videos and posts about it!) but in the long run you'll be helping a really good cause too. Thank you. Datsuncog
eddyramrod
As a Headway "customer" I can certainly vouch for them as a charity. They run one of the support groups I attend every week. I'm totally behind this loony idea! Can't help with money I'm afraid, but I'm with you all the way in spirit. Have you looked into home-market prices for the 126? Are they at Mini/Escort levels yet? A little convoy of 40-year-old Fiats all the way from Italy to England, I love it! ETA: for extra Shite points, never mind flying... drive over in DodgyBastard's Pilot van so you have a support* vehicle! If I win it I will be very happy to loan it for the purpose. I’m very glad you posted. It’s a charity very close to our hearts at Duggystone Radio. We know it’s a good cause but it’s even better to have that opinion backed up. A support vehicle would be amazing (and save on flight costs!). If you get an early 126 with the 594cc engine and most importantly chrome bumpers, they’ll sell in Italy for about £1500 and in Britain for a good £4000. So there’s a sizeable profit margin that can go to helping Headway. eddyramrod

I haven’t really spoken about it on my show yet, I wanted to wait until I sorted out the funding page, but it will get a segment this week. I did however interview a group of Fiat owners in my NEC Classic Car Show Special way back in Novembery time, featuring Sam Glover talking about his 126. Shame I can’t conduct a decent interview but hey ho. Cheers.
