Wingz123
What do you do to counter this one..... Ok so as is typical with this time of year the dirty spray off cars and trucks hits my windscreen......what to do so I am not spraying windscreen wash on the window every 30 seconds?....or is that just unavoidable....?
maxxo
i tend to do a single wipe as soon as the spray hits the windscreen, then use the washers every 10 mins or so is usually works unless you leave it slightly too long and it smears

maxxo
todays task was to repaint the wheels.......for no other reason than i was bored, Rear ones were the worst, obviously due to rear drum brakes and no brake dust mixed in the 14 years of crap on them I used plastic spray paint, sure i know it's unsuitable for this but come on it looks way better, not the best paint job on earth due to running out of paint once everything is clean it will look really good, it already looks great under the trims. rainagain, jumpingjehovahs, FakeConcern and 1 other
maxxo
general update: All together running good, almost at 93,000 miles so about 9k in my ownership over the past 6 months, In that time i have had all tyres replaced, brake pipes replaced, 2 oil changes, new clutch, new ball joint, sills welded and new wiper blades.....total cost for everything in repairs £575, which isn't too bad for a car i got for free which i saved from the scrapyard. I have fitted genuine roof bars, wind deflectors, replaced a few interior pieces, new parcel shelf, mud flaps, restored the exterior plastics, painted the tow bar, sorted out the engine cover, replaced all door speakers and the rest is just a full service, For a first car i'm glad i did it this way, i have my dream car and i have learned a lot and had a lot of fun sorting everything out and making it as good as possible. I plan to keep this car for a good while yet as it's a damn lot better than most picassos out there. i have complete faith in this car to perform reliably djim, Wingz123, Braddon81 and 4 others
