:) (always amusing how these come back as ROVER MAXI on the MOT checker, I do wonder what the cause of that is)

Thanks; a 1500, no less. Was just going to check Hudderfield on the Sainsbury website. ;)

I think everything BL related is under Rover on the MOT side now?

H 41 = vehicle details cannot be found using https://vehicleenquiry.service.gov.uk/VehicleNotFound?locale=en

Whats all that about then? It's surely recent enough to have been in the computerised records?

H41 is currently on retention it was last on a Kawasaki Motorcycle which now wears the registration WH16OWO :)

Probably held on retention, not currently on a vehicle. Plate like that would be too valuable to let go.

That makes sense - I bet it'll be on a Kawasaki H2 (they don't do a H41, H1's where made in the late 60's and into the 70's (there was also a H2 from that era)).

H2's are horribly expensive, horribly fast and horribly ugly.

Tundra Maxi or is it my eyes or the light? Might just be russet brown. ;)

The search engine seems to ignore most input, resorting to "any words, any order".  :(

Moreton hall, Bury St Edmunds 1987.

I know we're here to discuss the cars, rather than architecture but some of these 70s/80s builds are much better than the boxes we have today.

Bury St Eds as an example there - that store has been refurbished at some point in the 2000s, the cafe with windows has been demolished moved to the back of the main store, and has no windows and the front arches have been  demolished and the whole place covered in some awful silver cladding.

Getting harder to remember what's new and what's already been posted.

I quite agree.

Don't know what the answer is though. :(

Probably not helped by the site constantly being updated and preview images being replaced by coloured blocks saying "this appears to be from a collection ......". What is that all about?

Cambridge 1975

I'd have been there in 1975 in the school holidays on my dads market stall selling shoes, I can never find 70s & 80s pictures of the market or them though.

Closest we got was my grandads hands and arms in shot when Anglia news filmed a story on the market and I think I remember seeing my dad in the background staring into the camera
