This was my local! I would have been driven around this exact car park in:
D reg Nova 1.2
J Nova DeLuxue
Y astra 1.6
D granada something, cloth interior
D reg escort diesel
C reg 2cv dolly
J reg AX
J astra
M reg mondeo
And many more!

And if they panned to the right a bit more they could have photographed some primas being built at Perkins.

My cousin did his apprenticeship there. My grandad worked for APV Baker when they were Baker perkins too, supplied loads of stuff

My 1st work van when I was serving my time was an orange one like that. 2.0 pinto iirc and a 1985 b reg. It didn't half take some hammer, by two wanna 19 year old wannabe boy racers. I remember it getting a new passenger wing fitted and sparyed 2 shades too light. the drivers step also crumbled and was replaced. When it died it was replaced with the newer model transit in blue and also a petrol.

1990 it was, almost 30 years ago ffs!
