retrogeezer
Yeh, I thought a GT Beetle was rocking horse poo.. Space cruiser is fab....what a great mode of transport they must be. Blue 323 is the spit of my old one that binhoker now has (and that had the blue trim too) And my dad had one of those black Sapphire Classics for about 3 months...when he realised how much fuel it drank on the short journeys he did. Makes sense as it came from that Basingstoke Ford dealer (Jacksons?)
brammy777
Jacksons was the name of the Basingstoke Ford dealer, and there is a few of their old stuff still floating around, the only MKI Sierra I know of was sold from there, for example. They went out of business around 2003ish, I think they had to relocate following the Festival Place redevelopment as their showroom was where they wanted to build.Anyway, here is some more:1990 Rover Metro 1.0 Clubman L Hatchback. by bramm77, on Flickr1988 BMW M3 E30 2.3 Coupe. by bramm77, on FlickrFirst proper M3 I have seen in aggggggggggggggges, love the exhaust.1985 Toyota Starlet 1.0 GL Hatchback. by bramm77, on Flickr1984 Audi 80 1.8 SC Saloon. by bramm77, on Flickr1991 Suzuki Swift 1.6 GLX 4WD Saloon. by bramm77, on Flickr1986 Austin Maestro 1.3 City X Hatchback. by bramm77, on FlickrIt's now getting to the stage that I will see a Maestro everytime I go spotting. oldford
1985 Rover SD1 3.5 Vanden Plas EFi Hatchback. by bramm77, on Flickr That's quite amazing, brings back memories of bunking off college one day in 1985 to go to Godfrey Davis Europcar Chauffeur Drive, Victoria in London to swap a 2.8GL Granada (with dodgy central locking) for 3 Rover 3.5 Vanden Plas EFis in black for the forthcoming Queens visit to RAF Wattisham. With the one collected earlier on in the week, we had four of them. They were B434RVC, B436RVC, B437RVC and B439RVC. One of these got reversed into the corner of a wall on the way back, V eed the tailgate dead centre and left an area of grey primer showing. The Chauffeur drive manager went nuts on the phone and within an hour of them coming back off hire there was a transporter there to collect them. Pete-M
1985 Rover SD1 3.5 Vanden Plas EFi Hatchback. by bramm77, on Flickr That belongs to a chap called Dave Plowman. Headlamps are E36 BMW ones with Xenons, and it's megasquirted. He's had it from near enough new. Nice, nice thing. Want. It's even got the vastly superior Scheel 75-78 RS2000 custom seats instead of the more popular (and correct for a Harrier) 'fishnet' Recaros. I'd like a set of Scheel seats for my Mk2, but the OSF crew used to fit Recaros and bin the Scheels back in the early '90s. A pair of mint Scheel 'roll tops' and you're looking at around a grand.
