Popular Post Frogchod
As you may have seen I'm in the process of buying a 1968 DS. Yesterday I went to see if I could get it running. There were no sparks, but a clean of the points sorted that. The fuel tank leaks so a temporary fuel supply was rigged. A bit of churning and she fired up. No LHM leaks so she raised right up. As soon as some iffy paperwork is sorted collection will occur. I'll keep this thread updated with the full horror that a cheap DS will inevitably reveal. 500tops, TooManyPeopleMovers, strangeangel and 110 others 105

It was bought by him as an ornament for the campsite entrance. bangernomics
HMC
Brave but also inspirational. Where in France had it spent most of its time? Must be one of the oldest of the final facelifts surviving?

Yes it's an early final facelift, early enough to have the nice dashboard egg, chaseracer and HarmonicCheeseburger

eifion
Congratulations. As others have said, it's a nice combination of later front but earlier dash with that lovely single-spoke steering wheel that curves out of the dashboard.

sutty2006
All you need now is a cape to go with your hero title. reminds me of the first manta I bought. Sat on a driveway with a tree over it and not run for 10 years. Winch on recovery truck broke. Chucked a battery on it and it fired up and ran long enough to get it on the truck. Epic. Otherwise the present owner will have to register it before he can sell to me. Present owner messaged me this morning saying he's managed to get onto ANTS (new rego site in France ) and things are happening. bigstraight6
Epic, I got a feeling of enormous well being when I saw the pic of the DS with its suspension fully raised, just brilliant... egg
lesapandre
In its favour it looks like its been on hard standing which will have helped a little - parked on grass it may have had it. Trees may have protected it a little maybe. Very nice.
