Was it you talking to Danny about your 405 - stood right next to me?!

EDIT: Must be now I've seen you have cavalier in your username! Nice to (sort of) meet you!

Omg ! Yes it was me , I didn’t know it was you. I need to get out more I think. ..

Nice to meet you !  I hope I didn’t interrupt, I was keen on letting Danny know the 405 was the Sam Dawson one.

Good to see some shiters there, especially Amishtat and RoadworkUK who I had long chats with. Also spoke to Trigger and Cortinaboy, good to catch up with them.

Roadwork kindly let me sit in his 800 and I was really impressed with it, I'd love one. And Amishtats A99 Westminster was absolutely incredible, so original and well-preserved - nice to meet someone else who thinks old cars should show their age! We then hovered next to Bornite's 190 for ages waiting to speak to the great man, but he was in the pub!! His Merv is in fantastic condition, shame it has too many pedals but the incredible lack of rust made up for it ;)

My A40 Somerset did really well, especially getting stuck in the inevitable A14 traffic on the hottest day of the year.

I am fiddy/fiddy atm because there are TWO bloody closures of the A14 overnight. Firstly Bury to Newmarket and then Newmarket to Cambridge.

I would like to come but it look 2 hours in the Toyota last night (coming back from Portman Road) and would be slower still in the Mini.

May just come in the Avensis.

Thanks for coming again guys and good to see you all! We had 187 cars in the end although my friend on the gate said he missed a few so it's probably closer to 200, we was collecting for the East Anglian Air Ambulance this time and raised £470 so far which was nice!

That Trident above belongs to the lady who's Scorpio I'm buying coincidentally. I only managed a few photos as usual as I'm always too bloody busy running around and answering peoples questions!

First time I've managed to get to an ECR 'meat' since 2017, had a very good night out.

Great to see my old Starlet, still with the same chap who bought it off me in 2006.

That Mercedes camper. Maybe a Tabbert, based on one I've seen before.

Seeing this Manta A made my night, it looked absolutely perfect. These are one of the best-looking cars ever, anyone who says otherwise is wrong.

Good to finally see this slightly older Laurel and get a shot of it with mine. Getting my car into this position at the end of the evening turned into something of a farce, with the Sceptre pulling into the gap one side just as I was about to pull forwards and the car the other side going through the most elaborate and thorough regime I've ever seen on something that wasn't meant to leave the ground.

Great to catch up with a few faces from here plus others I haven't seen for years, including the guy I bought my previous Laurel hardtop from back in 2007.

Will try and attend more regularly in 2020.

Very good show as usual and great to catch up with so many people off here. I was so busy chatting to people and looking around that I didn't get the chance to get many photos on the field, but managed to get my first shot by the bridge on the way there.

It was great fun anyway. I got to have a seat in Spottedlaurel's lovely Laurel, see a Fiat Tempra saloon in real life for the first time (seen as few estates, but never a saloon) and see someone a bit too tall for a Renault 6 unsuccessfully try to get comfortable behind the wheel. Plus some brilliant cars; the non-AS highlight probably being this Lincoln Continental (which I have shamelessly pinched a picture of from Facebook).

We had another meet on Friday night, numbers were a little lower at around 100 due to rain early on but it was still a good night, there was a few highlights.

This pair of projects turned up on the back of a home built 1930s American truck replica based on a Winnebago body and with a Ford E350 V8 engine (I think). Both cars had been in a Portsmouth garage for over 20 years and he towed them back like this, at 10 mpg! Both were for sale for offers over £700 each but needed a lot of work, especially the Rover.

The little Dolomite 1850HL was a hunny, low 55k and locally registered at Mann Egerton in Ipswich from new, it was for sale for £4750.

My favourite of the night was this Peugeot 403 with B post pivoting suicide doors and a full steel sunroof.

And this MG Magnette was fit too.
