Motors at Milton Keynes Museum, 18 July 2019

Recommended Posts

A pleasant couple of hours at the monthly Thursday evening car meet at Milton Keynes Museum. Pretty good turn out of probably around 100 cars, mostly local stuff I have seen before but a few gems.

These are dying out fast. MOT history says this one has had serious sparkly stick action.

I last saw this Enfield about 6 years ago. Great to see it out and about again.

That gorgeous 10,000-mile Cortina Base. This would be a serious contender for a prize at FOTU but the owner seemed only vaguely aware of it.

And the surprise of the night - a Lithuanian-registered Volga!

As mentioned on the thread for Northern Powerhouse Classic, I can't make it on Tuesdays anymore.
I'm sure the now longstanding tradition of eating a slab o'cow at Glossop spoons will continue regardless, but would anyone be up for a more Northerner version?
Proposal: 2nd or 3rd Wednesday of the month, so as not to clash with NP Classic.
Place: The White House Pub & Restaurant, Littleborough, OL15 0LG:

Motorway access isn't great but who wants to drive on motorways? Has big car park and beer and food.
First meeting on Wednesday 13th Feb? 7ish PM?
      Any takers?

Just returned from the 2cv, 24hr race. Three classes compete Minis, Euro 2cv, and Dyane Hybrids, and 2cv. There’s also some classic Citroen porn, and a weird Wagon R

I'm going to be in Lewes on Monday night and have tentatively agreed to meet @SierraMikeHotel. Tentative because I'll be with Mrs/baby Egg, so they will hold a veto.
Tesco's car park seems to be a goer. Anyone else around?
