DoctorRetro
You know you're into miser territory when your mpg quoted is higher than the horsepower. BorniteIdentity, Wingz123 and BlankFrank

The autocentre down the road also has a Toyota Starlet (with chrome trim!), Nissan Micra and a Hyandai Atoz+, along with their Prodder. Top class motoring. DoctorRetro
Only had 3 centre caps for the wheels, so picked one up off ebay, thinking they would all be the same. Nope. Old New It's only held on by the wheel nuts, it's a completely different diameter.
Andyrew
My word those tyres are shagged! Regarding the plate. I think it's just the size of the square. An import size may work better. Altho not legal on a uk sold car, I cant see you being tugged for it tho. loserone
DoctorRetro
Yep, 3 tyres were advisories on MOT, and understeer is an issue in the wet. Might just end up putting a cheap set of wheels off something else on, will be easier. It's not like it's a high performance machine... 4x100 so plenty choices. DoctorRetro
Swapped the colours over on the wheels thanks to pound shop rattle cans and leftover wheel silver. Repositioned the number plate slightly. Bodywork has some shocking colour match repairs, not me honest! Nothing else to report except that I've done nearly 450 miles, mpgs are good and the speedo is very unrelated to the actual speed. Put it this way, 95mph on the speedo is 4000rpm in 5th. Apparently these top out at 88mph. Andyrew, BlankFrank, LightBulbFun and 3 others

DoctorRetro
Today's task is an oil change. If I can get my shoulder to stop hurting and this dizziness, blurry vision and headache to go away. Why buy 4 litres for 20 quid when the 2 litre ones are on offer for 6 quid each? Engine only holds 2.3 litres so will have plenty left over.. Don't judge my oil choices, I'm on a budget OK? 95 quid Peugeot
Nothing wrong with that at all. I've done tons of oil changes over 40 years. And my view is its better to do a oil change than not at all Never had a engine grenade and never do less than 25k a year BorniteIdentity and Bamboocarman
Wingz123
^^^ agree. That fact that you are doing it can only be a good thing!
BorniteIdentity
If it wasn’t good enough, they couldn’t sell it. As long as you’ve got the right weight of oil (and even that, at times, is an over obsession) then crack on. Good on you man.
DoctorRetro
All sorted. Took me less than 10 minutes all in. Easiest oil change ever. Check out the Diddy oil filter. DoctorRetro
Oil was very black. Filter is on the front, you can reach it easily from the top as the radiator only covers one side of the grille space Also did a bit that was annoying me. See before and after pics. DoctorRetro
I've got a thing for taking photos of the Kelisa next to ridiculously huge moderns, don't know why... Did some 'off-roading' while in an overspill car park. That hill is steeper than the photo suggests. And hit a milestone. Was coincidental that I'd stopped and looked at the miles.
