2002 Laguna II - The Freebie Family Heirloom - No news is good news

Place holder for some fun tomorrow.

A free car ...but as we all know, that's a very untrue statement! This one has been sat for about a year and half or two. It was last MOT'd in 2017 but has been passing over the last few times with no advisories.

Two stages to this collection. First is getting the bugger running and the second is getting it home & MOT'd.

Tomorrow will be about hopefully getting it started and out of the garage. If this succeeds I'll then see about having it recovered back to either home or directly to my friendly local garage and have it tested.

Not sure how I'll do this - maybe do a single shot video of startup?

As you're not mentioned BFO hammer and diagnostic bollocks is on there it's not another MGB then (sadly).
Not BL this time. However with two new storage bays, this will occupy one and leaving another spare. Quite what that will be, I have not decided yet! That one will be old and very likely British Leyland or older.

This one tomorrow I plan to be my winter runaround.

Just at in the in-laws for a pit stop and car change. Bought the MG down as going to BL show at Gaydon tomorrow.

I did a quote to see how much a new policy would be on this car. Quite insulted on what they perceived value is!

Items missed from list:
Fresh fuel
gaffer tape
cable ties
Easy-start.
Around here a car that talks at you would have trouble getting a word in edgeways with MrsD in the car

Part of the reason why my Grandad insisted on spec that option! In-fact the last few cars he bought, he made sure that option was on there when he ordered them. Why? Because it used to annoy the hell out of my nan. :D

My grandad has owned it from new - hence the bonkers spec he ticked on the options sheet! Basically he didn't want top spec as it had leather. Being a life long vegetarian, he didn't agree that he should get a car with animal hide. So instead he chose the model one below top and ticked every box on the options sheet! :D
