Just to add some more info on these two awesome* vehicles.

Galaxy:

Owned by several members of this forum, so I'm sure they will vouch for it. MOT is October, but apart from perhaps drop links on front suspension (TADTS), probably won't need much, Has already been fettled by our own Northernmonkey, including welding. Has loads of little niggles, like trailing edge of headlining peeling, horn button loose, AC not working, dents, scratches. But starts, drives and runs well - I'd depend on it to take me anywhere. 161,000 miles, but doesn't feel like it. Has the swivel front seats (very desirable apparently). 2.0 Petrol engine, manual box. Duratec DOHC engine.

Mazda:

MOT June 2020. Had new parts as follows: Dizzi cap, plugs, leads, alternator belt. Has a recon alternator on. Pretty solid and smart for its age. Starts OK, but runs like crap - needs a bit of TLC on the carb. The Aisan carb is over complicated, so I'm planning on simplifying by reducing the vacuum pipes and converting to manual choke. There's also a weber conversion plate available, if that's your bag. It was sitting for 5 years, so these things are to be expected. 60,000 miles. Was due to be banger raced, but we saved it. Pretty swish for it's age, electric windows, sunroof etc.

Reasons for roffling? Galaxy is too 'Ford' for me - I've tried to like it, but I can't. Mazda is making me stressed. :(
