Chodmodestly 2019!!! September 1st Chumley Castle, Cheshire

I hope to maintain my tradition of having turned up in a different car each time I've been to this.

I  think that's something a few of us have done, either knowingly or not.
The first 4 Chumleys I went to I took Italian cars: Lancia Thema, Alfa 155, Lancia Beta HPE,  Lancia Beta Spyder.
Then I broke with the Italian theme and took the tipp-ex painted Toyota Sera.

EDIT - what is with the daft line-spacing on this site at the moment?!

It seems that Enter starts an new paragraph with a break.

While Shift and Enter just moves down
on to the next line.

(That works for me, anyway).

As I've mentioned before, modern computer based things tend to give you a double return for anything. If you want a simple one line return, use shift+return.

This hasn't been an issue anywhere other than on here though, and only since the facelift.

Brother just spoke to me and said this:

"£4.50???!?!?!? It will cost £100 in fuel just to get there!"

I'd say that's a perfect reason to go myself.

You can spend £100 on one seat to watch The Spice Girls so I'd say it's a bargain

I haven't been in the same car twice, although there have been years where I've barely scraped in under the 15 year limit.

From my vague memories, I think they were, Celica Gen 2  Celica Gen 5, Golf Cabrio, Volvo 480,  XR2, 306 DTurbo phase 1, Puma, 306 XSi, Celica Gen 6, Leon Cupra, 306 DTurbo phase 3 and Clio 172.

Not sure what it'll be this time...….

Well, after serious discussion with brownnova, we’ve decided that the fastest camper van in north east Wales will have Pringle butties on board. Also, not just sugarless tea, but possibly coffee. Form an orderly queue please!

Note: This depends on the camper passing its MOT... Death burger it is then! I’ve seen those sodding sills!

So to the second of the weekend's shows. Stony Stratford is only 5 miles from Yardley Gobion so a lot of the same cars turned up but there was still plenty else to see, if not quite as manically busy as the New Year's Day event in the same place. Zel has already covered this event in his thread so I'll try to avoid duplicating his photos.

      ***************************************************

Righto, shite fans of Norn Iron,

A suggestion has been put forth that a mini-meet of sorts could be arranged for those of us perched atop this enchanted rock, to strengthen bonds and ogle at terrible, terrible cars about to be inflicted on some other poor bugger.

Venue is: Ballyclare Car Auctions, Dennison Industrial Estate, Ballyclare BT39 9EB

      http://ballyclarecarauction.co.uk/

Date is: Wednesday 8th August 2018, from 7pm onward

      http://autoshite.com/calendar/event/52-northern-ireland-mini-meet-ballyclare-auctions/

Deep-fried items of varying degrees of danger are, apparently, available onsite for those who wish to test the strength of their stomach and other major organs.

So pop along, in whatever vehicle you fancy, for a bit of craic and to participate in the ever-popular Crispiest Wheelarch Spotting Competition.

I'll be there, I believe The_Equalizer will be there, and a few other expressions of interest have been indicated from local shiters.

I may even be wearing my newly-arrived Autoshite t-shirt (courtesy of FilthyJohn) to aid recognition.

Drop a line below if you reckon you fancy coming along!

      Dat.

      See you there???
All Citroen owners welcome, club members or not!

It's been a busy weekend for the Maxi with local shows both yesterday and today.  Yesterday we decided to take a look at this free event in the village of Yardley Gobion (between Milton Keynes and Northampton) that we'd never been to before. A great turnout of cars to suit every taste but it was bloody hot!
