omegod
I need to shift a car for one trip, any particular company that won't sting me if I take out a policy and cancel after a day ? Day insure is £60 so looking to do it cheaper if you know what I mean !
beko1987
Debenhams let me cancel within 14 days when they couldn't insure the zx if that helps
UltraWomble
Did something similar with the bike when I needed 2 insuring at once - took out a policy - paid in full - cancelled after 5 days - stung only for £25 admin fee
Kringle
Cuvva app works well. About 13 quid for a day. Scruffy Bodger
pauldoubleyou
Just double check mate. If you pay in full you will probably be alright but a lot of companies widly vary their admin fee for cancellation. One way would be to insure it, then say you had the details wrong and its the wrong car. You might get away with it.,
Youngteam
I've used Cuvva for this plenty of times, normally around £12 for a day. If it's allowed I have a referral code I could share that'll get both of us a £10 discount.
The Moog
Depends on age with Cuvva I use admiral or elephant, pay on credit card, cancel within two weeks - £25 for total time. I have had to change from admiral due to number of times I have used it. barefoot
omegod
Ooh I didn't know cuvva existed, looks to be just what I need should this deal come off and most cars I buy are within an hours travel any referral code would be appreciated !
dome
Cuvva is super quick and easy once set up (you need to upload a pic of your licence) but as said check the age limit-car can only be up to 20 years old I think?

LV were quite happy to stick an extra car on for a week for me (when I bought the Berlingo but still had the C15 for a few days) I think it cost me about £6. Cheezey
I’ve taken out insurance a couple of times with Direct line and cancelled within the two week cooling off period. Usually they take twenty quid or so then I get a refund a wee while later. Last couple of times it’s only cost me about a fiver for a weeks cover. Kringle
25 years age limit with cuvva. I've spoken to them regarding older cars and they're looking for more underwriters which will allow them to offer cover but they're interested.
CortinaDave
you tried RAC day insurance? its usually £25-30 for me. i cancelled a policy with tesco after about ten days and they said because I was within the cooling off period no admin fee and i oy had to pay for time on cover which was hardly anything at all, so they are worth a look. Was a few years ago though so check thats still the case
Youngteam
If you're still after a referral code and it's allowed here then mine is UF34DMAWY5
dozeydustman
Might just be worth asking for a day's cover with your regular insurer. It's cost me anywhere between £5 and £30 for the day in the past depending on the car. Hawkeyethenoo
